“My ENT is Dr. Harry Katz. Dr. Valerie Kriney is an audiologist in his practice who tested my hearing a couple of years ago. The practice is not pushy about getting hearing aids. Recently I decided it was time (tired of dealing with low talkers, movies with poor sound, etc.). The first hurdle I had to get over was sticker shock with the price for these tiny things. The second hurdle was learning about HA attributes, options, and brands. Costco seemed at first like an obvious choice because of price. However, I never got to my appointment because they were so busy that there was a two month wait time. During this period I became educated and learned that, while they have a number of brands, Costco often doesn't carry the top models for a brand. Believe me, money is important, however my criteria, within reason, is: best sound, worthwhile features, and accessible, personalized service. My vetting consisted of Consumer Reports (marginally useful), Google (a bit better), and friends that had HA (the best). Because of all of the above I decided to spend my time and money with Dr. Kriney. She is very thorough in testing and explaining the intricacies of HA. At no time did I feel I was being pushed into a decision or rushed. Dr. Kriney is professional, friendly, and was able to give me confidence in making my choice. I've now been using my new HA for three weeks. They're comfortable to the point where I don't even notice them. I very much appreciate Dr. Kriney's help with my hearing.”
“Dr. Valerie Kriney is professional, knowledgeable, and most pleasant to work with. She gave me all the time I needed, and more, as she fitted me with, and explained the intricacies of, my new hearing aids. Thank you, Dr. Kriney!”
