Dr. Miranda Velasquez earned her bachelor’s degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a newborn hearing screener at Prince George's Hospital, and volunteered in a research laboratory investigating neuroplasticity, speech perception and auditory temporal processing across the human lifespan. Following her graduation, Dr. Velasquez moved to Long Island, NY, where she earned her doctorate degree from the Long Island Doctor of Audiology Consortium through Hofstra University. She completed her residency with HearingLife at their Rockville Centre location. Her previous clinical rotations include service at an otolaryngology office, a private practice and a school for the deaf. Dr. Velasquez understands that perceiving the world can be a different auditory experience for each patient and is dedicated to providing individualized hearing healthcare to help her patients achieve their maximal hearing potential.

From the receptionist, Cassandra, to audiologists Donna and Miranda, you couldn’t ask for a more pleasant, compassionate and compelling group of professionals. They’re always very accommodating and the office is immaculately clean. The only negative is that due to the location in a small shopping strip, a parking space is sometimes difficult to find. ”
