“Without checking to see if I had wax in my ears and without a audiology evaluation, Mr. Hernandez, the Audio Prosthologist, announced that I needed new hearing aids. (Mine had been recently purchased through a professional who retired shortly after the purchase.) When I balked at that, he said he could do a "minor" repair for $250. Foolishly, I allowed him to tinker with the aid and found when I went home that there was no improvement. I went elsewhere, found the major problem was wax in my ears and that I needed a minor tweak to the setting of one of my aids. (The same one Mr. Hernandez "fixed."). That solved the problem and I didn't need new hearing aids for about another three years. Stay away!”
