Dr. Akmaral Arman has been immersed in the field of Audiology since age 15, when her family opened an audiology practice in her native country of Kazakhstan. Inspired by positive effects of hearing loss intervention observed in clinic, she has then pursued foreign formal training in the field. Dr. Arman completed her Advanced level degree in premedical sciences at John Leggott College in United Kingdom, followed by a degree is Speech Language Hearing Sciences from University of Minnesota and a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Her clinical fellowship was completed at Georgetown University Hospital Center in Washington DC, where she has received a thorough and vigorous training across the entire scope of Audiology practice.
Dr. Arman is a passionate clinician who believes in the importance of hearing well, which is evidenced by her commitment to providing excellent hearing health care. She enjoys supporting and educating patients, as well as graduate students and has a YouTube channel with educational videos on inner ear pathologies.
Outside of work. Dr. Arman is an avid hiker, a world traveler, and a weightlifter.
Dr. Risley joined Hearing Health Center July 2013, and practices in our Oak Brook and Park Ridge offices. Because of his personal connection to loved ones with hearing loss, Dr. Risley is acutely aware of the social, emotional and economic challenges hearing loss poses. After earning his M.A. research degree in neuroscience and hearing science from Northwestern University, Dr. Risley was awarded his Doctorate of Audiology from Rush University.
Dr. Ronna Fisher is the founder and owner of Hearing Health Center. She established the center in 1984 in honor of her father who suffered from hearing loss. In 2005, Dr. Fisher founded the Fisher Foundation for Hearing Health Care which is a not for profit organization. She earned her doctorate degree in audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Dr. Fisher is a member of several audiology associations including the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists.
