Dr. Ronna Fisher is the founder and owner of Hearing Health Center. She established the center in 1984 in honor of her father who suffered from hearing loss. In 2005, Dr. Fisher founded the Fisher Foundation for Hearing Health Care which is a not for profit organization. She earned her doctorate degree in audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Dr. Fisher is a member of several audiology associations including the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists.
Dr. Amanda McFadden, Au.D., received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Audiology from Illinois State University, graduating in 2018. During her graduate years, she was actively involved in Illinois State’s chapter of the Student Academy of Audiology.
Dr. McFadden always knew that she wanted to be in a helping profession. As she was growing up, Dr. McFadden witnessed the effect that hearing loss had on her grandfather’s life, and as a result has an acute understanding of the impact that hearing loss has on communication and relationships.
In Dr. McFadden’s words: “I believe that many patients do not realize all they are missing when hearing loss goes untreated. As an audiologist, I feel fortunate to improve the quality of life for my patients. It is truly rewarding when my patients share their success stories about what they can hear now, and how their friends and family have positively reacted!”
Outside of work, Dr. McFadden enjoys exploring Chicago and visiting friends and family. She loves visiting Colorado for the beautiful weather and views. Her parents live there, near Boulder, so she tries to visit every chance she gets!
Dr. Trittschuh earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Science from Purdue University. She then pursued her Doctorate in Audiology from Rush University, graduating in 2019. She holds the Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
From a young age, Dr. Trittschuh knew she wanted to pursue a career in a healthcare profession. She chose to specialize in audiology in order to help her patients reconnect with those who matter most and provide access to the beautiful sound of life. Dr. Trittschuh enjoys seeing her patients experience the benefits of cutting edge technology available at Hearing Health Center. She feels privileged to have the opportunity to improve their quality of life.
When she is not at the office, Dr. Trittschuh is an avid marathon runner and enjoys spending time with her friends, family and dog, Sydney. She loves to travel and learn more about different cultures and food.
Dr. Trittschuh practices at Hearing Health Center Chicago and Highland Park locations.

“Amanda McFadden, Au.D is one of the best Doctor of Audiology we have been to in years! She is a very caring and patient person, and her attention to detail is refreshing. She has a wonderful bubbly personality that make you feel at ease the second you meet her. And her follow up for any issues brought to her attention is impeccable. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a Doctor of Audiology, you will not be disappointed!”
“What I like about hearing health center is that they are always first with the newest technology. They also really seem to care about their patients and after the last two years l feel that we have developed a real friendship. ”
“Now in my mid-80s, I have acquired over half a dozen health care providers I see on a regular or semi-regular basis and the only one I look forward to visiting is Hearing Healthcare Center. This is partially because they really know what they’re doing and the results have been excellent, but also because they are the nicest, most genuinely concerned group of people. I had been told that they treat their patients like family and I was skeptical. But I have to say that maybe they treat me even better. I usually go to their office downtown, not far from my apartment. But sometimes I am close to one of their suburban offices and in need of an adjustment or batteries. Although I have not been there in six months or longer, when I go into one of those offices everyone seems to know me, greets me by name and is fully aware of my needs. This is totally unlike any of my other doctor’s offices. Most of my friends have hearing aids or need them and I unhesitatingly recommend Hearing Health Center. Nobody has complained. ”
“Hearing aid test and Dr great. Billing not so. Be sure you are aware of the reimbursement and contract for your insurance BEFORE going. I was charged 5x what my insurance contracted for, and not helpful in getting $ returned. ”
Received 03/18/2019Official Response from Hearing Health Center - Chicago:“You have been a patient for ten years and purchased three sets of hearing aids. Our billing protocol, on each occasion, was the same. We billed your insurance the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) nearly the same amount for each set of hearing aids. The MSRP is approximately twice the usual and customary charge, not “5X,” as stated in your review. Every patient is billed the MSRP. Patients who pay at the time of service receive a “prompt pay” discount. This prompt pay discount is not reflected when filing to insurance. For patients with a defined benefit (a stated amount), the reimbursement from insurance is the same, regardless of the amount billed. There is no advantage to Hearing Health Center in billing the MSRP. For many of our patients however, it can be significantly advantageous. Oftentimes, hearing benefits are unknown and unclear. Reimbursement might be a percentage of the amount billed and deductible requirements vary widely. Our patients are extremely grateful when their out of pocket costs are reduced. After ten years, and three sets of hearing aids, I am unclear as to why you are suddenly surprised, upset, complaining and writing bad reviews. ”
“The audiologist was very knowledgeable.”
