Denise Kopecki, owner and licensed Board Certified Hearing Specialist, is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and National Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences from International Hearing Society. Denise is a lifelong Texan and grew up in the Houston area and relocated to New Braunfels area in 2009.
Denise spent the beginning of her career assisting 16 hearing center locations across Texas and Arkansas. She quickly rose to being a trainer for hearing centers in Texas and became Nationally Board Certified in Hearing Sciences in 2015. Denise is an active member of the International Hearing Society, Texas Hearing Association and Ambassador for the Seguin Chamber of Commerce and Vice President for the Guadalupe County Senior Ctr.

“There’s lots of places to get your hearing checked. I’ve been to several of them, hoping one day to get some hearing back. You come to this place, you not only get someone capable of helping you, it you get someone who truly cares about helping you. I’ve never had explanations about hearing loss that come even close to what I got here. It’s so frustrating to be able to hear, but not understand. It’s hard to be in noisy backgrounds and hear noises, but not understand. They explain that so that you can learn how to cope and eventually start making sense of the noises. “I have tried hearing devices unsuccessfully several times over the years. FINALLY, I found someone that knows what they’re doing. The exams I’ve had far exceeded the previous ones. “I came here a few years back. I had tried hearing aids in the past, and have had hearing tests many times over the years. I abused my hearing my whole life, and have repeated the word “huh” thousands of times. Never was able to get any benefit out of previous attempts. I came here, and had the most thorough hearing test ever. Not only that, I got a very extensive explanation of what hearing aids could do for me. Vanessa explained how she could adjust the device to match my hearing loss, but it was going to take some work on my part to “learn” how to hear again. How my brain had forgotten how to understand the sounds I was hearing and turn it back into words. Wow, what an experience it has been. I’m still trying to learn not to say “I can’t hear you”, but instead to say “ I didn’t understand what you said”. Vanessa set me up in a computer program that is helping me. I admit I don’t use it as much as I should, but it does help.
Let me make it simple. Thank you Vanessa, and your team, for caring and doing the best job possible to help me hear, and understand, the important sounds in my life. ”
