“The only reason this firm gets a 1 is because the staff is friendly. The rest is downhill from there. They make promises they do not follow through on. They take advantage of elders and then take away what they promised. A family member spent a lot of money and they can't even provide 6 months of free batteries even though the contract stated 5 years! We will definitely take our business elsewhere. ”
“I purchased my hearing aid 5 years ago. Hear professionals have for the last three years put a good deal of pressure on me to buy new ones. When ask why they given a number of questionable reasons to which I have rejected. They admitted my hearing has not changed and my aid still perform to same as new. I have encountered pushy ruddiness as a result. They persuaded my 90 year mother and sister into buying new ones for her when hers were only two years old. I have a feeling that they are praying on venerable people and are selling unnecessary aids to timid customers. By the way mom says now that her old ones were just as effective. Final line was crossed when I went to get new batteries the other day and they told me that they were reneging on our original agreement through the fine print at the bottom of the original contract and I would need to pay for them. OK, how much, $75 for a box of them! I just bought the same identical batteries through Ebay for $15. What a foolish policy! One of these days I will need to replace my hearing aids but not at Hearing Professionals!”
Received 06/19/2017Official Response from Hearing Professionals - Sidney:“Tim, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry and apologize, that you had a negative experience. Our Director of Operations was sure to contact you and explain the situation and miss-communication. We thank you for choosing Hearing Professionals and look forward to helping you in the future.”
“A generally cool atmosphere coupled with many calls to come in for 6 month checkups and to upgrade to the latest technology. 6 month checkups with some technicians require sitting through the same presentation as when aids were purchased, likely because of anticipated commissions for upgrades. Free batteries now limited to 5 years; no notification of this was made until last time I went in for the batteries. Receptionist agreed it would have been good from customer relations standpoint to have notified folks of this. ”
“I have purchased 2 sets of hearing aids in the last 10 years and have been very satisfied with the product and with the excellent service. I really like the walk-in hours so if you need cleaning they are always there to help you. ”
“WHEN I WENT FOR MY TEST AT CELINA I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED NEW HEARING AIDS. I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO BUDGET FOR HEARING AIDS AND HE WOULD ADJUST MY OLD AIDS SO I COULD HEAR BETTER. WHEN I LEFT THE PLACE I NOTICED I COULD NOT HEAR AS WELL AS WHEN I WENT IN. . THE NEXT WEEK I WENT TO SIDNEY OFFICE A LADY CHECKED MY HEARING AIDS AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD BEEN TURNED OFF. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE? DECIDED I WOULD NOT GO BACK TO THE CELINA OFFICE. SO WENT TO SIDNEY FOR BATTERIES AND WHO WAS MY APPOINTMENT WITH BUT DICKMAN THE SAME MAN THAT TURNED MY AIDS OFF. AND HE SAID THAT HE TURNED THEM DOWN. WHY I WONDER .. MAKES NO SENSE TO ME SO I THINK I HAVE HAD MY LAST VISIT WITH THE HEARING PROFESSIONALS . ”
