Hudson Valley Audiology Center - Goshen

Doctor of Audiology Jeffrey Shannon earned his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton in Ohio and worked as an engineer and math and science teacher for several years. Then he returned to school, earning his Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He then began his career helping people hear better at the Veterans Administration National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research in Portland, Oregon, where he helped develop and improve diagnostic testing, treatment devices, and management services for veterans with hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and auditory processing problems. When he returned to his homestate of New York, Dr. Shannon joined Dr. Loavenbruck at Hudson Valley Audiology to offer the highest level of hearing healthcare to his patients in Rockland County and the surrounding community. He is extremely active in audiology professional organizations. He and his wife Erin, a Speech-Language pathologist in the Nyack Public Schools, currently live in New City and are members of St. Augustine’s Church in New City. They are proud parents of a son and a daughter.
