“I'm 83 yrs old and have been wearing hearing aids for nearly 10 years. I've learned over the years that wearing hearing aids takes as much learning as physical adjustment. Yes, it's important to have my hearing aids properly set up and properly adjusted, but it's just as important to know what to expect in the hearing experience. I've been a patient of Dr. Tara and the Signature team's care for over 5 years. I've always had a good rapport with them, but my latest episode tested the bounds of that relationship. I just bought a new pair of hearing aids in November of last year. Everything seemed fine. But, then I noticed I was loosing a certain crispness and clarity in listening. First, children's voices were becoming blurred and then eventually undiscernible. Then, my ability to hear on the phone, and even the sounds of traffic when outside walking became unnatural. A couple of times I went in for adjustments, but even my ability to describe what was wrong seemed to wane. Finally, I went in one last time and said to Dr. Tara, "Can we tone everything down and start over from scratch." And that's exactly what she did. She went back to my last hearing test and began resetting everything from there on. She checked for any maintenance releases and installed one she found. She adjusted for the fact that the "on jingles" for my left and right ears were different (one louder than another). She used "gut feel" in making setup decisions. The result: about as close to perfection as anyone could hope for. I could understand and participate in phone conversations. I could understand conversations with my neighbor (even when the sun was in my eyes and I couldn't see his face), and most of all I could understand my 6-yr old granddaughter (even when she was whispering). I have a renewed faith in my hearing ability and a confidence in taking part in conversations that require back and forth communications. I've also learned that I can check how well the hearing aids are working by having my wife call me on the phone I can see how well the hearing aids are working with the phone. Its seems that if they work there, they are pretty much working in general. I'm also learning to clean the domes and microphones and change the batteries without running them down to zero. It's amazing what fresh batteries can do! My thanks to Dr. Tara and the Signature folks.. ”
“I had an appointment for 1 year follow up. I was delayed because of Covid. But I made the Appointment in May. We arrived 10 min. before the 2:30 pm time. There were people waiting. when I got there. I waited till 3:00 pm. Then I ask how much longer and was told that there were sill 2 appointments ahead of me . I do not know why. It was not explained to me. I would like an explanation about what happened. Thank you for your help . ”
“Customer service is poor, hearing aids very expensive, quality doesn’t seem good. Commenting for my elderly mother. They don’t answer their and they don’t return call when you leave a detailed message. I wish my mother would have went elsewhere .When she picked up her new hearing aids she was handed the box and left without any teaching or instructions. She just recently told me all that when we took them in to be repaired as they were already not working. Poor customer service ”
