Melisa Sharpe,
AuD

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Sharpe graduated from Ohio University with a M.S. in Communication Sciences in 2002 and a Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in 2005. She worked for Clay County Schools for 17 years and started First Coast Audiology in 2017. She works with both pediatric and adult patients. 

Dr. Sharpe's passion is with hearing loss and how it effects the brain. She strongly believes in educating patients so they can make the best decision regarding treatment for their hearing loss.

Sarah Zak,
AuD

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Zak received her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology from Louisiana Tech University in 2000 and M.S. in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University in 2002. She graduated with her Doctorate of Audiology in 2009 from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.

Dr. Zak has a passion for Pediatric Audiology and Auditory Processing Disorders. She has worked for local area ENT doctors, the Cleft Palate Clinic as well as St. Johns County Schools.

Angie Pardee,
CCC-A/SLP

Speech Pathologist

Angie graduated with a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010 from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is certified in AG Bell Listening and Spoken Language Auditory Verbal Education. She has expertise in listening and spoken language therapy, reading therapy, and early intervention.

Angie enjoys Auditory Training for both school-aged children with Auditory Processing Disorders (APD) as well as adults with auditory deprivation, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, TBI, stroke, cochlear implants and APD.

We take great pride in delivering quality speech, language and hearing services to the communities of Jacksonville and its neighboring areas. Our approach revolves around putting the patient at the center of care, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and evidence-based therapies to create personalized treatment plans for both children and adults. We understand how the brain works and go beyond the traditional audiogram to see how the brain process information for you and your child.

This profound understanding of the brain has motivated us to expand our services to children and adults through First Coast Brain Builders (FCBB), utilizing an Interprofessional model of intervention. Our exceptional team consist of Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologist, and an Education Specialist, working together to provide comprehensive support to both children and adults. 

Apart from providing expert-informed care, we are deeply dedicated to ensuring accessibility to our hearing health care services for all individuals. We work with Lend an Ear Outreach, a nonprofit connecting people living below the poverty line to hearing healthcare. Additionally we take pride in serving Veterans through our participation in the VA’s Community Care Network program. Our goal is to revolutionize hearing health, empowering you to embrace life to the fullest.
