Dr. Brian Robert Peters


Dr. Peters has practiced pediatric and adult Otology/ Neurotology in Dallas for over 20 years. His background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of North Texas followed by his M.D. degree, residency in Otolaryngology, and fellowship in Neurotology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He is founder and president of The Dallas Hearing Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to giving the gift of hearing and speech to children and adults with hearing loss. In this capacity he has helped secure funding and performed cochlear implant surgery on patients from 12 different countries around the world.

He is an associate clinical professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He holds memberships in the American Academy of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery, the American Neurotologic Society, the Triologic Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society. He is also a member of the Surgeon’s Advisory Board for Med-El Corporation and serves as a speaker and consultant for Cochlear Corporation. He has numerous publications and is a widely traveled speaker. His practice focuses on the treatment of hearing loss and ear disorders in both children and adults including cochlear implantation, Meniere's Disease, acoustic neuromas, and facial nerve disorders.


Dr. Yoav Hahn


Dr. Yoav Hahn is a Board-Certified Otologist/Neurotologist and Otolaryngologist. He has completed specialized fellowship training in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery. He attended the University of Chicago, medical school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and general surgery training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Hahn completed Otolaryngology residency at the University of California-Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. Following this, he served for two years as Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California-Davis and a staff Otolaryngologist for the Head and Neck Surgery Department at Kaiser Sacramento Medical Center. He then successfully completed his Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery fellowship training at the prestigious Michigan Ear Institute.

Dr. Hahn’s practice focuses on ear disorders in adults and children, hearing loss and reconstruction, cochlear implants, acoustic neuroma, skull base lesions, dizziness, and facial nerve disorders. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American College of Surgeons, American Neurotology Society, the Dallas Academy of Otolaryngology, and the Dallas County Medical Society. He has also volunteered his surgical expertise in treating craniofacial abnormalities in Ecuador, through Operation of Hope.

Dr. Hahn is proud to be on staff at both Medical City Dallas Hospital. He resides in Dallas with his wife Caroline, and their three young children.


Krysten Whaling


Krysten Whaling is a board certified Physician Assistant providing comprehensive otologic and neurotologic care to Dallas Ear Institute patients.  Krysten graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Human Nutrition. After completing her undergraduate studies she then received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Harding University.  Krysten worked in a family medicine practice  prior to joining the Dallas Ear Institute.  Otology and neurotology has always been her professional passion.

Krysten works directly with the Dallas Ear Institute physicians caring for new and established patients, providing post operative care, reviewing audiometry and balance testing, and evaluating patients with ear and hearing concerns.


Dr. Andrea Gerlach

AuD, Director of Audiology

Andrea Gerlach joined Dallas Ear Institute in 2012 and is currently the Director of Audiology and The Hearing Center. Prior to joining our team, she worked with a major hearing aid manufacturer as an Audiology Trainer and Account Manager for practices in Texas and Oklahoma. Dr. Gerlach has also served as a Staff Audiologist at Professional Hearing Services in St. Joseph, MI and as a Clinical Audiologist at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She earned a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nebraska. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Texas Academy of Audiology.

Her primary interests include hearing conservation and the treatment and rehabilitation of hearing loss through hearing aids and assistive listening devices. She strongly believes in working with each patient to address their individual communication needs and obstacles in order to provide the most appropriate hearing solution for their lifestyle. It is her goal to ensure every patient has a positive experience in our clinic and no longer has to worry about their hearing loss keeping them from participating in the activities they enjoy.


Dr. Kristin King


Kristin King received her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2004. She began practicing at Dallas Ear Institute in 2007 as an intern and graduated with a Doctorate in Audiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2008. Dr. King is accredited by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and is licensed by the state of Texas. She is currently focusing on hearing aid and cochlear implant services for our patients in The Hearing Center. Her interests outside of work are spending time with her husband and two children.


Leslie Lianos

MS, Cochlear Implant Program Coordinator

Leslie Lianos has been practicing audiology for more than 20 years. She received both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is accredited by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and is licensed by the state of Texas.  Prior to joining the Dallas Ear Institute in 2001 she worked at UTSW in Dallas, TX where she specialized in the early identification of hearing loss with children of all ages.  She now specializes in cochlear implant counseling and programming for both children and adults.  She lives in Lake Highlands with her husband and daughter.


Andrea Gohmert

MS, Diagnostic Audiology Coordinator

Andrea Gohmert joined Dallas Ear Institute in 2014 as the Diagnostic Audiology Coordinator. She has more than 20 years of experience working with patients of all ages. Prior to joining our clinic she was practicing at a private neurotology clinic in Virginia where she specialized in pediatrics, cochlear implants and vestibular testing. She also spent time practicing at an Ear Nose and Throat clinic in Maryland. She was born and raised in East Texas and is very happy to be back in Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree from Baylor University and her Masters of Science in Audiology from Vanderbilt University. She is accredited by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. 


Dr. Jennifer Wilk

AuD, Pediatric Audiologist

Jennifer Wilk is a dedicated pediatric audiologist at Dallas Ear Institute. She is accredited by the American Speech,Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) as well as the Texas Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Wilk completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Audiology and a minor in Early Childhood Education. Following a year long externship in the western suburbs of Chicago, she received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Wilk's  passions lie in pediatric assessment, early intervention and aural habiliation. She believes in fostering a partnership with each family to ensure that every child attains his or her full potential. She looks forward to the privilege of helping families understand how their child hears, to providing access to sound through amplification and to advocating for the services each child needs to succeed.


Dr. Reagan Daniel


Reagan Daniel is a Fort Worth, TX native and happy to be living close to Cowtown! She completed her undergraduate education at Baylor University in Waco, TX with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Spanish Language, finishing her minor work while studying in Madrid, Spain. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.  Part of her fourth year doctoral externship year was fulfilled while working in El Hospital El Vigia in Chitre, Panama.  Dr. Daniel has traveled to both Mozambique and Panama on multiple occasions to care for underserved populations by providing donated audiology services, equipment, and education. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.  She currently focuses on providing treatment services for our patients with hearing loss and tinnitus. 


Dr. Audrey Lewis


Audrey Lewis completed her undergraduate work at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas; receiving a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Dr. Lewis is licensed by the state of Texas, accredited by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), and a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She began her career at Dallas Ear Institute as a fourth year doctoral extern and was asked to join this elite team of hearing professionals upon receiving her doctorate. Dr. Lewis currently specializes in diagnostic hearing and balance evaluations. Her passion for audiology stems from growing up in a family with multiple ear related disorders. It is her goal to treat each patient like family and assist them in any audiological difficulties so they may enjoy a full and vibrant life.
