“Of all the regrets that I have in life, getting hearing aids-and getting them with Dr. Ben Wightman at Sound Advice Audiology-is definitely not one of them! What a terrific experience I had with Dr. Ben and his staff at the Livonia location! This was my first experience getting hearing aids and, honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner: the exceptional level of service and the quality of the devices are best in class. Of course, when it comes to your hearing, you only want the best professional care possible as settling for second best is just not an option. That’s why I highly and happily recommend Sound Advice Audiology (generally) and Dr. Ben (specifically) for any issues you may have with hearing loss. Dr. Ben made the entire process easy, comfortable, and transparent while also maintaining the highest of professional standards. Dr. Ben and his staff made me feel like I was their only patient! If you’re experiencing hearing loss and are thinking about getting hearing aids, you owe it to yourself to check out Dr. Ben and Sound Advise Audiology in Livonia. You won’t regret it! ”
“I was experiencing hearing loss and pain in right ear. On examination by Becky at Sound Advice Audiology it was discovered that I had excessive and hardened ear wax, which she removed gently. The pain went away immediately, and my hearing was greatly improved. Becky also gave me a product to help prevent ear wax build up in the future. ”
“Teri went out of her way to overnight my hearing aids on her lunch hour so I could have them for my trip. Amazing service. Thanks Teri. ”
“Since the purchase of my hearing aids from Sound Advice in 2019, I have not been disappointed with the hearing product I purchased or the continued service they offer. With the hearing aid purchase, comes periodic cleaning maintenance, adjustments or need repairs at no additional cost. This important maintenance keeps me hearing at my best. The initial selection and guidance of my hearing aid choice was expertly guided by owner Ben Wrightman, Au.D. and more recently I have worked with Becky and find her expert help equal to Ben. I would be in error if I did not mention the wonderful support staff there, too. All my experiences at Sound Advice have been with top notch professionals.”
“As an engineer and a hearing aid user of almost 40 years, I have visited many offices and worked with many audiologists. I have had good experiences and bad experiences, but never a GREAT experience until just recently. I contacted seven different audiologists in hopes of purchasing new hearings, and decided to go with Ben Wightman Au.D. of Sound Advice Audiology in Livonia. Anyone that deals with hearing loss, be it mild, profound or anything between, knows that communication skills, critical-thinking, compassion and probably most importantly, patience is needed when dealing with such challenges. I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism that greeted me at the front door by the Office Manager to the time, transparency and care that Dr. Wightman showed me through the entire process of purchasing new hearing aids. Of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice Audiology had access to all of the brands and models of devices, they didn’t push any one brand on me, like several of the other offices did, Dr. Wightman had device suggestions based on my testing, but explained that he is not in the business of selling hearing aids, but in the business of giving me the best chance of successfully utilizing what hearing I have left. Also, Sound Advice had the longest trial period of the offices that I contacted. They allow for a 30-day trial, not 2-weeks as the other offices limit you to. Two weeks is not long enough for your brain to acclimate to the new sounds that you are hearing or the old sounds that you are hearing differently with new technology. Even at that, Sound Advice is flexible with the trial period. Probably, the most important thing that I can state confidently, of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice had the least EXPENSIVE prices for hearing aids and their repairs. They beat the lowest quote that I obtained elsewhere by $1,200! Everybody knows that hearing aids are not cheap! So my recommendation to anyone looking for a professional office of an audiologist that has affordable, compassionate and patient care that is willing do whatever it takes to make you make the most of your challenges… look no farther than Dr. Ben Wightman Au.D. of Sound Advice Audiology with offices in Livonia and Farmington Hills. I was truly blessed to have discovered him, and now you can be too.”
