Dr. Chelsea Lewis has been serving the needs of the hearing impaired in North Carolina since 2012. She has extensive experience with adult and pediatric hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings and services, balance assessment, and cochlear implant fittings and services.
Dr. Lewis was born and raised in Charleston, WV. She followed in her family's footsteps when she attended West Virginia University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology as well as her Doctorate of Audiology. She completed her externship in the ENT setting in Charlotte, NC, and continued to gain experience at that practice for the next 5 years. She moved to the Wilmington area in 2018 to fulfill her dream of living at the beach. When she is not helping people improve their lives through better hearing, she is busy enjoying the outdoors, cooking, and rooting on her favorite sports teams.
Liesl Looney, Au.D., CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received a bachelor of science in Speech and Audiology and a Master of Science in Audiology, both from West Virginia University in 1995 and 1998, respectively. She currently holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the state of North Carolina. “The staff and Optometrists at Wilmington Hearing Specialist have been providing service to our family for over six years. I have seen 3 Optometrists in that time and I can’t say enough about my excellent experience. From Linda at the front desk to the staff that repairs my hearing aids, to the crew that answers the phone they have always been professional and kind. In a world where costumer service is rare, it’s nice to see. The happy atmosphere is uplifting and it shows in each staff member, what a team! ”
“The staff is always very pleasant at Wilmington Hearing Specialists. Dr. Looney is an excellent doctor. She is very caring, explains everything in detail, and I was totally confident in her care. It was a wonderful experience. ”
