Mary Sloan grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She has been a practicing Hearing Instrument Specialist since 2018. Mary received her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa in 2009, afterward working as a newborn hearing screener before pursuing her state licensure for hearing aid dispensing.
Having grown up aware of hearing loss, due to a severely hearing-impaired grandparent and parent, Mary witnessed at a young age the struggles associated with being hard of hearing. These early relationships inspired her to pursue a career in hearing science, through which she strives to improve the quality of life for those suffering from hearing impairment and provide them with the best hearing care possible.
