Dr. Tracy Peck is a clinical audiologist and the Director of Clinical Services at Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California. She earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctorate in audiology from the State University of New York in Buffalo. She is a licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in the State of California. Dr. Peck is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Tinnitus Association. Her specialties lie in evaluating, treating and management of tinnitus and hyperacusis.
Julia Coats is a licensed clinical audiologist who joined us at Hearing and Speech Center in 2016. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her doctorate in audiology from the joint doctorate program at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Coats has experience helping patients of all ages with hearing and balance disorders. She remains current in the latest technology in order to offer her patients the best hearing solution based on their needs. Her interests lie in pediatric and adult diagnostics, amplification and aural rehabilitation.
Kathleen Favor is a licensed clinical audiologist who joined us at Hearing and Speech Center in 2013. She earned a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and a doctorate in audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Favor specializes in diagnostics for adults and children, amplification, assistive listening device technology and aural rehabilitation. She is also affluent in American Sign Language and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Fatima Sajjadi joined the Hearing and Speech Center in August 2019 after spending her final year of a clinical externship at the Center. She received her bachelor's in psychology from the University of California Davis and went on to earn her master's in clinical school counseling at San Jose State University. Dr. Sajjadi's experience focuses on pediatrics, diverse populations and individuals with psychological comorbidities. Dr. Sajjadi was born in Iran and moved the US at a young age. She spent several years of her childhood moving between the mid-west and Middle East, finally residing in California. She aspires to make the world a better place through compassionate hearing and listening. Dr. Sajjadi is proficient in Farsi.
Dr. Jaynelle Garcia initially joined the Hearing and Speech Center in 2020 as their audiology extern and was officially hired as a clinical audiologist in 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Biological Sciences with a minor in Neuroscience at the University of San Francisco, and she earned her Doctorate in Audiology at University of the Pacific. Her clinical interests include: pediatric and adult diagnostics & amplification, aural (re)habilitation, tinnitus management, and community outreach. Outside the clinic, Dr. Garcia enjoys daily yoga sessions, playing occasional poker games (or board games) with her cousins and family, and spending time with her two dogs, Fenrir and Chico.
Dr. Marta Kebede joined the Hearing and Speech Center in July of 2021. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from University of California Davis and her Doctorate in Audiology from University of the Pacific. She completed her audiology externship at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Audiology and Hearing Aid Center. Her clinical background includes diagnosing and treatment of hearing and balance disorders. She particularly enjoys counseling patients about their hearing health, as it is her professional goal and passion to improve individual’s overall quality of life via better hearing. . Dr. Kebede considers San Francisco Bay Area her hometown and is thrilled to serve her local community.
Dr. Shannon Nichols joined the Hearing and Speech Center after spending the final year of her doctorate completing training as a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Audiology fellow at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. She received her bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Psychology from Florida State University, and went on to receive her doctorate of audiology from The University of Texas - Austin. Dr. Nichols specializes in pediatric diagnostics and amplification, newborn hearing screenings, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and community outreach. She also has experience with cochlear implants and aural rehabilitation.

Staff at the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California have been practicing state of the art audiology for over 100 years by offering hearing testing and hearing aid services to children and adults of all ages. Currently, we have a staff of six top-notch audiologists. We are a non-profit agency.
