Dr. Clark possesses extensive surgical expertise, particularly of the head and neck, and really enjoys a challenge. He has a passion for cochlear implants and their ability to restore the function of the inner ear through direct stimulation of the auditory nerve. There is just something special about seeing the face of someone hear for the first time in a long time.

Additionally, Dr Clark performs ossicular chain reconstruction, a procedure that repairs the tiny bones in the middle ear. It's truly remarkable. He surgical repertoire includes thyroid and parotid glands that have gone awry, or tonsils that won't stop getting infected.

Dr. Clark offers comfortable balloon sinuplasty for improved breathing that heals within a few weeks, either in-office or in the OR if necessary. He also offers in office insertion of ear tubes, which he places with ease. Most importantly, Dr. Clark explains all procedures thoroughly and prioritizes patient comfort and confidence. He will also guide you through medical and lifestyle changes that may reduce your need for surgery. He really wants to find the best solutions for you and your family.

Madeline, a native of Tampa, FL, graduated from the University of South Florida in 2017 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. In 2021 she earned her Doctorate of Audiology. Madeline relocated to Venice with her cat Leo that same year and has embraced the coastal lifestyle, delighting in beach days and local events. Thrilled about her upcoming journey, Madeline is excited to contribute her skills and making a positive impact in her new role with Island ENT. 

Shelby Burke, Au.D., CCC-A possesses extensive training in various facets of hearing health care and Audiology. She strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients to explore how hearing impacts them on an individual level, so she can guide them to the best solution. She works with most major hearing aid manufacturers and has knowledge of many OTC and PSAP devices. She is able to evaluate patient’s current hearing aids to determine if they are the best fit for their hearing loss and personal goals. Hearing aids are not the right fit for all patients and types of hearing loss. Dr. Burke also has experience with implantable devices. Regardless of the degree of your hearing loss, Dr. Burke is prepared to assist and  guide you on your journey to better hearing.

When reaching out to our office, you'll likely connect with Heather our multitasking professional serving as the manager, receptionist, nurse, cleaning lady and the doctor's wife. While we currently run a very small clinic, as we grow we aspire to welcome additional loving and dedicated staff to serve you. On a busier day you may see our son helping out. Honestly he'd rather be doing yard work for people but he gets drafted. Heather graduated in 1999 from Liberty University with her Bachelor's of Science of Nursing. She used those skills full time until their third child joined the family and Dr. Clark started residency. She has returned to work temporarily, balancing responsibilities with 2 kids in home school along with two in college. She couldn't be more proud of them. Heather also loves gardening and all the beautiful things that grow in Florida.
