“Doctor Sexton is great! My father really likes her. However, the front desk staff is not so friendly and are not welcoming to patients when they first arrive for their appointments. They have horrible costumer service skills.”

“Hi Liliana, Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the poor experience you had at our office. As a result of your review, the office manager has addressed this with our staff. I hope that your next visit is much more pleasant. I am glad to hear your father is pleased with the service he has received! Michelle Sexton, AuD”

“I have never written a negative review, but this one is very deserving. I have waited several days to write this in hopes of receiving a call or email from Houston ENT, but have yet to receiving anything other than a terrible experience. I had a late afternoon appointment, however that morning the doctor's office called and asked if I could come in earlier because the doctor wanted to leave early! I obliged and said I could come in right after lunch. I waited an hour and twenty minutes, without a notice or anything letting me know that the doctor was running behind schedule. No apology, no thank you, absolutely nothing. I will not spend my time, energy, and money with a clinic that does not appreciate its customers. On top of that, the staff was very rude and condescending. Houston ENT needs to invest in better employees and policies.”

Official Response from Houston Hearing Center:
“Hi Tam, I’m very sorry you had this experience at our office. Addressing your healthcare concern is our primary goal at Houston ENT and I apologize that we did not meet your expectations. At the Memorial City location, we have several physicians and audiologists on staff. I have gone through the schedule and cannot find your exact appointment time or date. However, from what you have described, I believe this may have occurred on our physician schedule. While the physicians try very hard to be prompt, delays can happen from time to time. Surgeries may run late from the morning, or a surgery / meeting / procedure may be added in at the end of the day. In addition, work-in emergencies have to be accommodated as well as other patients who may arrive late for their scheduled appointment. While this certainly does not negate or excuse your experience, this may have added to your delay at the clinic. I encourage you to contact me directly to try and rectify this problem. I am an audiologist, but will be more than happy to work with you toward a resolution, or direct you to the person best suited to assist you. My direct email is mjohn@houstonent.com or you may contact our audiology department at (281) 649-7420. If you wish to speak directly to the physician’s staff, you may call (713) 461-2626. Sincerely, Dr. Michelle John, Audiologist at Houston ENT, Memorial City Location ”
