Erik Rumsa is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist dedicated to improving hearing health and quality of life for his patients and their families. His passion for hearing healthcare was inspired by his great grandmother, whose life was transformed after finally receiving hearing aids following years of struggling to hear conversations and withdrawing from social activities.
That experience shaped Erik’s approach to care. He strives to provide the same compassion, support, and personal attention that his family received, taking time to truly connect with each patient. Erik and HearingLife proudly offer no-cost hearing testing and consultations as a service to the Aurora community.
Erik grew up along the shores of Lake Michigan, where he enjoyed playing soccer, violin, and spending weekends at the beach. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sound and Recording Technology from DePaul University in Chicago, studying under Thomas Miller and Daniel Steinman.
