“I came in to see Dr. Hillard mainly to find out how well my inexpensive, over-the-counter hearing aids were performing, and whether anything better might be indicated. She began with a test of my eardrum, which was quite revealing of a couple of underlying issues that might warrant examination by an ear/nose/throat specialist. Next was a very complete cleaning of wax that had built up deep inside the ear canal. The hearing exam was first without my hearing aids, followed by Carl doing a specialized test I had never seen before, measuring the actual output of my hearing aids while inside the ears. That clearly demonstrated how well my hearing loss was being corrected across the whole frequency spectrum, and how much potential for improvement still remained. Overall, I was extremely impressed by Eastside's thorough and professional approach to my concerns.”

“In an appointment to check my old aids and to see if my hearing has changed in the last year, I was very pleased with the whole experience. Michelle did a very thorough hearing test, and then went over the results with me. She then cleaned my 6 year old aids and determined that they needed to be sent in to the manufacturer to determine if they they can be relied upon for service a little longer. Then on top of that she set me up with a set of loaner aids. All new technology and tuned in to my hearing needs very well. She spent close to two whole hours with me. Exceptional service. ”

The testing was thorough and professional. While I wasn’t a candidate for hearing aids at this time, there were some early warning signs that I needed to be aware of. I will implement the suggestions she gave me and check back in a year to see how things have progressed. I would highly recommend Eastside Audiology with Dr. Kingham to anyone. Don’t delay. We get physicals and see the dentist every year. It’s time to get your hearing tested annually as well.”

“3rd time is a charm... after trying two other Audiology clinics, and leaving in disappointment, Dr Kingham at Eastside Audiology provided a comprehensive hearing assessment. She took time before and after to help me understand how ears work and the nature of my hearing loss. She used Real Ear Measurement when programming my hearing aids. For the first time I feel positive about using my hearing aids and confident that they are programmed and fitted correctly. ”

“I always get excellent service at Eastside Audiology. The only negative thing I've experienced there was during my last regular visit, in June 2022. At the most recent semiannual visit, when I made the next appointment for June, I was told the price for a clean and check and given the choice between seeing an audiologist or an assistant. I chose assistant, as it was to be $10 cheaper. After I had my visit in June (which was done quite pleasantly and professionally), I was presented with a bill that was nearly double what I had been quoted at the previous visit. An inquiry resulted in my being told that prices had gone up. Nichole called me at home and explained the details of how Eastside's cost had risen. Although I felt (but did not express) that the amount of increase was much more than the inflation that every business is experiencing, I thanked her for letting me know and didn't ask for any refund or adjustment. Nevertheless, Nichole told me that she was refunding my entire payment. She really didn't have to do that. This could have been avoided by Eastside sending out a notice to all patients of the price increase six months before, but Nichole's action left me with a continued good feeling Eastside. I strongly recommend Eastside Audiology.”

“OMG - I can hear again! I am so comfortable in these hearing aides that I forget I have them on! Eastside Audiology let me try several different types, usually for a week, and I found the PERFECT type for me. I can't imagine how much different my life would have been had I gone with the ones I THOUGHT I would like. I'd probably just put them in a drawer and drag them out when I was going to be in an important meeting.... During the test phase they worked with me to digitally program each aid to match the hearing loss in the proper ear, so each piece of equipment got a fair shot. When I finally chose the type I wanted, we went through a couple of styles, colors, etc., until I could choose the one I liked best. And THEN they spent over 2 hours with me during the next two weeks digitally adjusting each aid so that it was as nearly to my normal hearing as possible. Up with men's voices, down with high pitched tones, drown out the crowd and focus on the speaker. I even bought a little "surflink" which allows me to stream direct from my TV, Radio, Computer, or become a mic that I give to my translator during meetings in foreign countries. I'm sure you can get good equipment everywhere, but it is the time these folks took to personalize my settings and let me do extended tryouts of various units, that really made the difference!”
