“My recent appointment to have my hearing re-evaluated by Sara Otte, was a terrific experience. Sara listened carefully to my concerns regarding my sense that my hearing was getting worse. She conducted the necessary tests and then gave me a clear, easily understood finding of good news and bad news. The good news, my hearing had not really changed at all from a year ago. The bad news was if my hearing hadn't changed; what probably did change was the perfomance of my hearing aids. She described the issue as being linked to the fact that my hearing aids were over 5 years old and may be struggling. Rather, than simply trying to sell me a new set of hearing aids, she sought to understand my circumstances. She cleaned the hearing aids, checked the settings, put in a new closed tip to make the delivery of the amplified sound to my ear clearer. We agreed to work with this for a month to see if there was improvement and then if necessary consider other options (probably the strongest of which would be new hearing aids-- there have been since 3 generations of new tech). Overall, a great experience with a consummate professional who sought to listen and understand, to examine multiple paths to an effective solution, and a desire to consider my needs.”

“When I arrived, the audiologist said that I did not have an appointment today. There was a mixup in my appointment day. She said that she had another appointment in 15 minutes, and asked if I wanted her to do what she could in 15 minutes. I said yes , so we went into the examining room and she examined my hearing aids and cleaned them. I could definitely hear better after her work on them. We derided to make an appointment for Feb. 1, 2024 and possibly replace my hearing aids at that time because they are over 5 years old. I was 100 percent pleased that she squeezed me into her schedule and did what needed to be done.”
