AuD, FAAA

Audiologist

Dr. Behringer works at the Greenbelt Freedom Hearing Center office, which is located within the office of Dr. Khosrow Seyed Makki, Otolaryngologist. Lisa grew up Lanham, Maryland, and after attending Eleanor Roosevelt High School, she went to the University of Maryland where she received both her Bachelor’s and a Master of Arts degree in Hearing and Speech Science. After working several years in the profession of audiology, she returned to school to continue her education so she would be even better equipped to serve her patients. She obtained her AuD (Doctorate of Audiology) from Salus University in 2009 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Behringer has experience in many different areas of audiology, having worked with various hospitals, private audiology and Ears-Nose-Throat physician practices over the course of her career. She became affiliated with Dr. Makki in 2007. She is proud that the Greenbelt office is able to offer high-caliber Otolaryngology and Audiology services. The fitting of hearing aids is her particular specialty, and she enjoys the challenge of keeping up with the latest in hearing aid technology.
