Daniel Ostergren,
AuD

Audiologist

Daniel Ostergren, Au.D, is a third-generation medical professional carrying on his family's tradition of helping others. He began his clinical career in Fort Collins in 1984 as a founding member of the Audiology Group. He went on to practice in educational audiology, classroom acoustics, and as an educator and lecturer in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. In the past, Dr. Ostergren was the president of the Colorado Academy of Audiology. In 2017, Dr. Ostergren completed a three year term on the Board of the American Academy of Audiology to return to clinical practice and is now certified. Dr. Ostergren has done almost everything within the scope of audiology during his career, including pediatrics, private practice, consultations, newborn hearing screenings, and studying acoustics. From a family of three generations of medical professionals, it's only natural that Dr. Ostergren was drawn to a field where he could help people. Audiology was the perfect opportunity to bring together his caretaking nature, his interest in music, and his experience with recording gear. He grew up in a household with a hard-of-hearing mother, so he understands what it's like to live with hearing loss. Audiology is only one way Dr. Ostergren stays involved in sound. He still records and performs music regularly, and he has served as a recording engineer for the local symphony. Sound is such a big part of the arts, that’s why Dr. Ostergren is also a sponsor of the local art museum. If it has to do with sound, he's part of it.

Helping Fort Collins hear better

Every day in our office is different because every patient is different. We love getting to know every single person who walks through our door. Audiology is more than just our occupation, it's our passion. We have fun helping people and we look forward to being able to help you too.

Our office is casual and welcoming, yet professional. We focus on your hearing needs, not sales. We understand that medical settings can be intimidating, so we don’t wear lab coats or ties and we always have on a smile to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible.

We are located at the UCHealth Harmony Campus in Building A, Suite 350. Enter through the main entrance that faces North and we are on the 3rd floor -when you exit the elevator, we are down the hallway to the left on the left side in Suite 350.

Hearing care services

Diagnostic audiological evaluations: A comprehensive evaluation will determine if you have hearing loss, the nature of your hearing loss, and whether you're a good candidate for hearing aids and/or need another form of treatment to hear better.

Hearing aid evaluation and selection: We carry some of the best hearing aids available today, including those with Bluetooth connectivity. Based on your hearing loss and what you need and want out of your hearing aids, we'll make a personalized recommendation for you.

Hearing aid dispensing and fitting: Hearing aids must be fit and programmed to your individual needs so that you can hear and feel your best.

Hearing aid repairs: If your hearing aids stop working, bring them to us and we can usually get them working again with a thorough cleaning. But in case we do need to send them to the manufacturer, we keep loaner devices in stock so you're never without your hearing.

Pediatric audiology: Dr. Ostergren has experience working with children who have hearing loss and other hearing issues. We are happy to help younger patients of all ages, and we know how to put them (and their families) at ease.

Tinnitus evaluation and management: Tinnitus, also known as “ringing in the ears,” has many treatment options. We can evaluate your tinnitus to see if one of these treatments would be right for you.

Live speech mapping: This is a method of evaluating how well your hearing aids are helping you, using actual speech instead of tones for more accurate results.
