Hearing Instrument Specialist
Tonia MacPhail is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist, licensed in the state of Washington. She is knowledgeable in the latest hearing aid technology and is experienced helping people achieve their hearing goals.
In the late 90's, Tonia relocated from the Seattle suburbs to Stanwood to raise her two children in this wonderful, small community. In 2007, she started as the office assistant setting up the electronic insurance billing system for a local hearing clinic and was quickly promoted to office manager. For the first time in years, Tonia had what she loved to do. When the opportunity came around to attend school and learn how to test and fit hearing aids, Tonia jumped at the chance. She has always believed “When you love what you do, you’ll never have a bad day.”
She graduated with honors in 2011 and was consistently among the top hearing instrument specialists in the country. She has always been committed since day one to help her patients with their hearing loss.

Sabrina Hamilton,
A.A.S., HIS
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Sabrina Hamilton graduated from Spokane Falls Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in June 2022. She has completed all licensing requirements and is enthusiastic to enter the field as a professional in hearing healthcare. She is committed to helping each person achieve their best hearing.
Before that, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University. Music has been the foundational passion of Sabrina’s life which has led her on most of her life’s journeys. She reflects how greatly she enjoyed the program, and appreciates how it gave her a wonderful, technical foundation to understanding audio, sound, and even the human ear’s frequency response.
This has been a great benefit to understanding the hearing industry now as a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist.
Samie Stanford
Director of Operations
Samie is our Billing Specialist and Hearing Aid Technician. She has worked with Tonia for 1over a decade and is excited to support her with her new solo adventure with Stanwood Hearing and is dedicated to helping you hear better.
Outside of the office, Samie enjoys spending time with her family, and friends, boating, camping, hiking, beachcombing and visiting Maui whenever she can.

“From the initial inquiry, Stanwood Hearing has given me a wonderful experience at each encounter. Sabrina, as well as everyone there, is so helpful, supportive and attentive to my needs. “After many months of repeatedly saying, "Pardon me?" while listening to others, I decided it may be time to have my hearing checked. After receiving a flyer in the mail from Stanwood Hearing, I completed the online appointment request and met with Sabrina the following day. She cheerfully greeted me and asked me numerous questions about my hearing concerns. Sabrina performed a thorough hearing examination which confirmed that I was considerably more hearing impaired than I'd originally suspected. Sabrina had me try the Oticon Real hearing aids and I then discovered that I had been missing out on hearing a whole lot of sounds. I didn't want to give her the hearing aids back! I was quite pleased by how they felt (I barely noticed I was wearing them...) and realized how much they could help me hear more things much more clearly. I am truly looking forward to next week when I get my new Oticon Real hearing aids from Sabrina.”
“It had to be about 2008 or 2009. I was sitting in a bar across the table from my girlfriend, music was playing, the crowd was noisy. My girlfriend said something, then kept talking. I could see he lips moving and occasionally heard a stray word or two. Then I waved my hands and said, "I can see your lips moving, but I'm not hearing what you're saying". We left the bar and I was told you seriously need hearing aids. I went to the hearing center where Tonia was working because it was close to my house. Tonia tested my hearing, sold me a pair of Phonaks and adjusted them so I could hear so close to before and had them block out backgrounds noise. I trust Tonia completely with my hearing and she has improved the quality of my life immensely. Forever a client.”
