“Soundgear....HD Hearing Protection from Starkey. I got these to use when I am hunting and around loud equipment. They work fantastic as they block out high decibel sounds (gunfire and other loud noise) yet they provide hearing enhancement when dealing with "regular" noise. If you shoot a gun....these are great to have. I have "retired" my old shooting headgear, in place of these.”

“My initial experience with Melissa Baker and Baker Audiology was back on Labor Day when she made herself available to help a friend on a holiday weekend, and made a huge difference for an entertainer that was being inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since that time, I too realized (due to a lot of external encouragement) that I too needed to check into my own hearing issues. I contacted Melissa and she had me come in for a hearing test. For the life of me I don’t understand why I didn’t do it sooner. Fortunately, I made this appointment before the Holidays, and what a difference it has made, both in my personal and professional life. I really had no idea what I had been missing out on. I was able to sit in a room full of people, in a restaurant, and in the office, and clearly hear what was going on around me. I can carry on a conversation like I hadn’t done in years. Let me warn you about something. You should go out and buy a can of WD-40 because you will find squeaks you didn’t know you had. Light switches also make a snapping noise when you turn them off and on. Your Husband or Wife may have been yelling at you for several years and you didn’t realize it. Television and movies have audio levels that were too low to get the whole jest of what was going on, and your neighbors will no longer enjoy the same programming that you do. It’s been several weeks now and I’m still realizing new things. But over the holidays I can tell you that it was a joy hearing the children play, the guitars being picked, and not missing out on being a part of the whole. One thing has really touched me, and that is the level of Professionalism that I experienced at Baker Audiology. I’ve been in a customer service role for over 30 years and you just don’t find the level of genuine customer care that you will find with Melissa Baker. In a time when there is so much Indifference in society, it is so refreshing to experience what I found while working with Baker Audiology. If you think I’m not talking about you, I know who you are. You are the one running down interstate with your turn signal on because you can’t hear that obnoxious clicking or chirping noise. Don’t wait as long as I did, you’re missing out on so much.”
