“I knew that I had a hearing loss I did not realize how much it impacted my day to day life. Cory took the time to explain to me how the hearing aids would help the overall fatigue that I was experiencing. I think I rolled my eyes at him. As a behavior consultant, I am always skeptical. My brain was working extra hard to listen and understand the world around me. After the first week of wearing my hearing aids, I noticed a difference of how I felt at the end of the day. At the end of the second week, my family remarked at how different I was when I arrived home. I did not look exhausted or did not feel the need to take a nap. “I had many disappointing experience to date which lead me to the conclusion to return my devices, most having nothing to do with the hearing aids. However, due to insurance limitations, I didn’t want to be forced to use this office and opted to return them before my 2 month trial ran out. Unfortunately, my schedule has been inflexible due to a new job, yet this company insists you schedule an appointment for everything including returning your devices. I had to return two other sets of hearing aids also paid by insurance and simply dropped them off signing one piece of paper and was on my way. However, today I was literally yelled at for 1.) not scheduling an appointment before walking in the door 2.) after telling them my experience of returning the other sets Dr Weasen said “well, how did that work out for you?” I’m not sure I’ve ever had a “medical provider” ever act so unprofessionally as she has throughout this process 3.) I was told I should never have just walked into the office and “they’ve never just walked into a doctors office.” Maybe I’m living in some alternate universe but I’ve had situations were I’ve walked into my doctors office (maybe waiting a bit) but no one ever made me feel I was causing them any type of inconvenience for needing assistance. No one walks into a doctors office without a true need. So, I’m now sitting with hearing aids that my insurance company told me to drop off and a company that wouldn’t take them back without an appointment. In the day of docusign - I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous! FYI - I received several documents pre signed by this provider with MY signature before receiving my devices. They simply decide what rules they wish to follow based on what patients they want to assist. ”
