Margaret Christiansen received her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders in 1999 and her Masters in Audiology in 2001 from the University of Northern Iowa. She received her Doctor of Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2006. Dr. Christiansen holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in both Iowa and Illinois. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Academy of Doctors of Audiology, Iowa Speech and Hearing Association and Tinnitus Practitioners Association. Dr. Christiansen is President of Audiology Consultants and has been with the practice since 2001.
Laura Schroeder,

Audiologist
Laura Schroeder was born and raised in Cedar Falls, IA. She attended the University of Iowa, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science in 2007 and her Doctorate of Audiology in 2011. Dr. Schroeder holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology. She is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in both Iowa and Illinois.
Heather Sandy,
MA, CCC-A

Heather Sandy is a graduate of the University of Iowa where she received her B.A. in Speech & Hearing Science in 1998 and her M.A. in Audiology in 2000. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and is a licensed audiologist in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Heather is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, American Academy of Audiology and the National Hearing Conservation Association. Heather has been with Audiology Consultants since April 2007 and currently serves as Vice President and Business Administrator. She is also the director of the Hearing Conservation Program at Audiology Consultants.
Kevin Kock,

Audiologist
Originally from the Houston area, Dr. Kevin Kock earned a dual Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Psychology from the University of Houston. He moved to Iowa to obtain his Doctorate of Audiology in 2020 from the University of Iowa. During that time, he conducted his fourth-year externship in Portland, Oregon at Oregon Health and Sciences University specializing in leadership, advocacy and neurodevelopmental disability. Dr. Kock loves working with patients of all ages and is especially passionate about hearing conservation and self advocacy. He holds his Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Kock is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in Iowa, Illinois, and Oregon. He lives in Davenport, IA with his Great Dane Korra.
Ali Carmichael,

Originally from Green Bay, WI, Dr. Ali Carmichael earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from Northern Michigan University. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Wisconsin Consortium- Stevens Point in 2020. During that time, she specialized in hearing loss prevention, tinnitus management, and patient advocacy. Dr. Ali holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Ali is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in Iowa and Illinois.

“What a great business. I worked with Dr. Kevin as he evaluated and recommended my new hearing devices. If you want excellent customer service, professional expertise and top notch service, please seek treatment at Audiology Consultants group. 5 STARS!!!!”
“My experience was very different from some of the other postings here. I had called around looking for a specific brand of hearing aid that Audiology Consultants did sell. Beyond that I knew nothing of this place. The first thing that they insisted on was every piece of personnel information they could possible ask for. I wanted at least a conversation about why they needed all that and specifically how they could meet my needs. When I arrived, a young lady came out to my vehicle and refused to let me into the building without all the completed forms that they had mailed me. Why do they need my SSN? What are their qualifications to determine if gout effects hearing? Would they retain all this personnel information? Where? For how long? There is a difference between someone providing a professional service and a used car lot. These guys are closer to the latter. Very unprofessional. (I went to another provider and within an hour had a hearing test and purchased a set of hearing aids.)”
