Ann earned her advanced doctoral degree in Audiology from A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, AZ. She has an extensive background in hearing counseling and rehabilitative services and she uses these skills to provide practical solutions to improve all of her patients hearing.
She is a licensed audiologist in Virginia and Maryland and holds a certificate of competence in audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

“I was informed, five years ago, by a different audiologist that I was deaf in my left ear and a hearing aid would do me no good. I basically have not heard anything in my left ear for the past five years. I scheduled an appointment with The Audiology Offices, LLC-Gloucester for a hearing evaluation on 4/21/2023 and had the wonderful experience of being evaluated by Dr. Ann DePaolo Wietsma. She informed me that I was not deaf in my left ear and recommended a hearing aid for each ear. I saw her again for a follow up visit on 5/2//2023 and she fitted me with my new hearing aids. I was shocked! I could hear perfectly in both ears. I highly recommend Dr. Wietsma and all of the staff to all folks suffering from hearing issues.”

“This was my initial visit to have my hearing tested. Everyone was friendly and helpful, The testing was stress free and the doctor explained what was going on in each phase. When the procedure was finished she showed me the results and explained what they meant. She told me my options, showed me samples of hearing aids, and gave me some informative material to look over. No one tried to push me into an immediate decision, which I appreciated. When I am ready, I will definitely return to the office to get fitted for hearing aids, and continue to use this practice for my auditory needs.”
