Dr. Sarah Sugden,
AuD, FAAA

Co-Founder, Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Sarah Sugden has been helping people rediscover their sense of hearing for  over 20 years. She obtained her clinical Doctorate Degree in Audiology from the University of Florida, Gainesville.  She has extensive experience with adult and pediatric hearing testing, tinnitus evaluations, hearing aid fittings and management, as well as balance assessments and dizziness evaluations.  Doctor Sugden has also obtained several certifications in concussion diagnosis and managements, as well as vestibular rehabilitation and balance therapy through Fyzical.

Dr. Joel Grimshaw,
PT, DPT

Co-Founder, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Joel Grimshaw has been helping patients reach their rehabilitation goals for over 20 years.  His expertise comes from working in multiple settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, nursing homes, home health care and outpatient sports and orthopedic rehabilitation.  He obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse. 

He has continued his education and training to include McKenzie Mechanical Evaluation and Treatment as well as multiple sports and orthopedic related courses.  He has obtained several certifications in vestibular rehabilitation and balance therapy through Fyzical.  He specializes in Balance and Vestibular rehab, neurological rehabilitation, and concussion management.

Dr. Mary Catherine Castor,

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Castor obtained her clinical Doctorate Degree in Audiology from Gallaudet University of Washington, D.C., and Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences with honors from SUNY Plattsburgh. She experience with adult and pediatric hearing testing, hearing aid fittings and hearing aid management, as well as vestibular testing (balance and dizziness testing), tinnitus evaluations and newborn hearing screenings. She also earned her Clinical Certificate from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  Dr. Castor has completed certifications in vestibular rehabilitation and balance therapy through Fyzical.

Dr. Macee O'Kay,

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. O’Kay obtained her clinical Doctorate Degree in Audiology from Syracuse University and Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Nazareth College in Rochester. She completed her fourth-year audiology externship with Watertown Audiology, following which she spent time working in an ENT office where she performed programming of bone-anchored hearing aids as well as cochlear implants. Dr. O’Kay has experience with adult and pediatric hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings and hearing aid management, as well as vestibular testing (balance and dizziness testing), and tinnitus evaluations. She has also earned her Clinical Certificate from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Dr. Wen Lin,
Au.D, CCC-A

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Lin obtained her clinical Doctorate Degree from Missouri State University and Bachelor’s Degree from Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan.  She completed her fourth-year audiology externship with East Coast Audiology and Physical Therapy and prior to this she worked at Chung Hua Christian Hospital as an Audiologist.  Dr. Lin has experience with adult and pediatric hearing evaluations, hearin aid fittings and hearing aid management, as well as vestibular testing (balance and dizziness testing), and tinnitus evaluations.

Jordon Ray

Hearing Aid Coordinator

Jordon is great with technology and is able to help patients program their new hearing aids. She is also amazing at repairs and cleaning, keeping your hearing aids working for you. Jordon enjoys spending time with the patients and getting to know about their lives and interests.  Jordon earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders & Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Literacy. She has over 10 years experience as a Speech Language Therapist, before joining us at East Coast Audiology and Physical Therapy. She knows the importance of language and hearing in all ages, and her 10 years working with children has made her an absolute asset to our Audiology team.

Josh Grimshaw

Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist

Joshua has been with our practice since October 2003.  He has extensive training in hearing aid fitting, selection, and repairs.  Josh enjoys working with patients and teaching them to properly use and take care of their hearing aids.  She studied secondary education with a concentration in history at SUNY Potsdam.  and obtained his Associates Degree from Jefferson Community College.

Hearing Care Coordinator

Cary has a full understanding of our patient’s needs and sees that they are scheduled in a timely manner and have everything they need when visiting our office for hearing aid appointments and repairs.  All hearing aid: ordering, authorizations, insurance, and repairs are coordinated through Cary for all 3 of our office locations.  If you are inquiring about new hearing aids, Cary is the perfect person to talk to as she has full understanding of every aspect of the hearing aid process and can guide you through all the steps necessary to obtain new hearing aids.
