Audiologist
Dr. Alyssa Heinz joined ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery Specialists of Shady Grove in July 2022. Before this, she worked for more than ten years as a clinical audiologist at two well-established ENT practices at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. During her time there, she provided a range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services to pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Heinz obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Hearing and Speech Sciences in 2007 and her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) in 2011, both from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has been awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (C-AAA) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA).

“At the recommendation of my primary care physician, I began consulting Dr. Renee Moneyhun many years ago. My experience with her has been consistently outstanding: excellent communication; excellent bedside manner; correct diagnoses; sound recommendations and referrals. In my last consultation (about rapid hearing loss), she discussed my options, including follow up with the audiologist in the same premises. Having all hearing-related support and services under one roof is efficient for me, if I can get quality services. I was not disappointed in their audiologist, Dr. Alyssa Heinz. She explained my options succinctly. I was able to make my choice right away. Her patient consultation days are limited to Thu-Fri; thus, appointment time-matching became more challenging for me.”
