Physicians Hearing Clinic

Dr. Tonya Steed, AuD, is a licensed audiologist with more than 25 years of experience serving patients in the Sarasota community. At Physician’s Hearing Clinic, she focuses on fitting customized, prescription-based hearing aids and enhancing her patients’ quality of life by strengthening communication with family and friends. Recognized for her compassionate care and willingness to go above and beyond, Dr. Steed consistently delivers exceptional hearing healthcare.

A Sarasota native, Dr. Steed earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences. Her extensive background includes valuable clinical experience at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Bay Pines VA Hospital, and several local audiology practices.

Dr. Steed’s commitment to helping others extends outside the clinic. She serves as a Clinical Director for Special Olympics Healthy Hearing and has been honored with volunteer of the year awards from Sertoma of Greater Sarasota and Riverview High School. She and her husband enjoy time with their three children—two daughters attending rival universities and a son with special needs—which often brings them to college football games, ballroom dance competitions, and Miracle League baseball events.
