“As many of us age our hearing can diminish. It is gradual but eventually we know we need to do something about it. With the hearing loss we become more reclusive and less involved in conversations around us. We nod like we heard something when we didn't hear some or most of it. We delay seeing a specialist because we don't want to admit what we expect we will need, hearing aides. This was my experience. Hearing aides opened up conversations I had not experienced before. Dr Powell and her staff are the best. They don't sell hearing aides like you see ads in the newspaper. They are not a retail store. They provide professional care by trained audiologists For me greatly improving my hearing was a life changing experience. I will never be without my hearing aides. Once you have them for even a week you will feel the same way. ”
“The doctors and the staff at Hearing Life are outstanding, caring individuals. As a patient in denial of needing hearing aids, it took me long time to realize that getting them and using them daily has made me feel like my old self. I didn't know I was struggling to keep up with every day conversations. Thank you Dr. Jackie for being patient and understanding with me. Thank you Dr. Powell for the excellent presentation you gave to The Pensacola Newcomers today. I recommend these doctors highly. ”
“I have had the best experience. The doctors are wonderful here. ”
“He was honest.”
“HEARING LIFE, changed my life. I am a baby-boomer with a machinist background. Back when I was in the shop, hearing protection was an option. As a result, I have lost a good partition of my hearing. I made an appointment with Dr. Powell to get my hearing checked and knew it was time to take some kind of action. I was beginning to withdraw from family gatherings and would shy away from conversations. I could not hear my wife when we were out to dinner. After my exam, Dr. Powell invited my wife into an office visit and fitted me with a pair of hearing aids. From the instant I could hear with them, I was hooked. It only took about 10 minutes to not notice I was wearing them but I realized I was hearing everything going on in the office. I purchased a pair of hearing aids. It was one of the best things I have ever done for myself! I am back, involved with family conversations, I am hearing music like I haven’t heard in years, my wife and I carry on conversations when we are out to dinner and hearing sounds of nature that I had forgotten. The aids are small, light weight and for the most part can’t be seen when worn. I love my new life…. Dr. Powell is professional and very pleasant to talk with. The staff is friendly and ready to help in any way, including bringing you coffee while you wait. So for you baby boomers out there that think you are tuff and don’t need any help, please give these a try. I promise that you love hearing all kinds of new sounds. Sounds you don’t remember ever hearing, like I did. You will enjoy the office visits and you will love the new you. So will your family. What have you got to lose…. Give it a try! It might make you as happy as it has made me. ”
