Dr. Madison Brown attended Utah State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree as well as her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.). She began her career path not knowing the magnitude of challenges people experience with hearing healthcare. Her focus is to empower individuals to find hope and restore parts of their lives that have been affected by hearing and tinnitus. She is delighted to be a part of the Sound Relief team, where people come first, and innovation is prioritized to provide solutions and hope for all patients who walk through the door.
Through drastically improving her own quality of life by making incremental changes and trusting the process, her passion was ignited to help others on their journey toward better overall health. She understands the importance of providing individualized education, planning, tools, and support. She believes that joy, peace, and improvement are possible for all who are willing and ready to embark on the journey.
Madison enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her two children. She loves activities that involve body movement or being in the Arizona sunshine. In her spare time, you’ll find her on the golf course or relaxing at home.

“Sound Relief came to my rescue clear back in 2019 after I completely lost the hearing in my left ear due to a tumor in my ear canal. Each visit and team member has worked with us in meaningful and helpful ways every visit. We live over 200 miles away, but we have liked their service and the people connections every single time we've made the drive. It's so worth it. Dr. Madison Brown, Au.D., CH-TM, and Dr. Kelly Hanscom, Au.D., CH-TM, lead the location and have extensive experience in tinnitus and decreased-sound-tolerance care. Both are mentored by founder Dr. Julie Prutsman, Au.D., CH-TM, a nationally recognized tinnitus specialist. Scottsdale uses The Sound Relief Method, an evidence-supported protocol integrating personalized sound therapy, Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) principles, and counseling strategies informed by cognitive-behavioral research.
Hearing care services
Sound Relief Scottsdale provides evaluation and management for tinnitus, sound hypersensitivity, and hearing loss. Tinnitus care follows The Sound Relief Method, which combines individualized sound therapy, TRT principles, and structured counseling strategies. Care for sound hypersensitivity focuses on reducing the emotional and physiological response to everyday sounds through evidence-based techniques. Comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations are also available, along with individualized hearing-technology recommendations based on communication needs, listening environments, and patient preferences. Our independent practice bases all recommendations on clinical findings and best-practice guidelines.
