Roy Buitrago was born in San Francisco, CA and moved to South Portland, ME at the age of 10. Roy has been a practicing Hearing Instrument Specialist for over 10 years, working in several facilities until he found a home at HearingLife in Auburn, ME.

Roy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Husson University. Having worked in various settings throughout his career, Roy's experience has brought him extensive knowledge of the diagnostic processes used to assess and treat hearing problems. His passion to help others is what drives him in his career.

“Auburn office sent my new right hearing aid out for repair. The stem that is used to remove the aid from my ear broke off. I purchased the hearing aids in February of 2023. Waited 2 weeks to receive them back. They received a different hearing aid and had no way to charge the new hearing aid. So I had to take it home to charge. It did not fit in my charger. The audiologist did not program the hearing aid and when I went back the next day. I told him that. He yelled at me and the people in the waiting room heard everything. Now I have to drive from Lewiston Maine to South Portland Maine. I am disabled and have a hard time getting around. ”

“ Nancy Whittier made me feel relaxed and very comfortable. She was wonderful. She gave me a thorough hearing test. My wife wanted to be able to see the difference between my own hearing aids and what the new ones would be. She got everything set up . What a difference! I can’t say enough about how she explained EVERYTHING. We had no intention in buying new Hearing aids. It’s because of Nancy that we did so. A 5 star rating is not enough in my opinion.”
