Mid Island Audiology PLLC - Mill Neck
Unbeknownst to me, I gradually developed a permanent slight hearing loss, prior to college, through noise exposure from musical instruments. I was told by others that, "those instruments can be loud", but I did not fully understand the effects of cumulative noise exposure. What I needed was education on hearing conservation. Now as an Audiologist, It is my mission to empower others with this knowledge as well as improve the quality of people's lives and relationships by facilitating better hearing and communication. I am qualified to provide appropriate amplification solutions for patients of all ages.
I am a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology as well as an associate of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. My other passions include being an active contributor in my community and church, enjoying my family and friends, and songwriting. I love to experience the outdoors through activities such as mountain biking, golf, running and snowboarding.

“My exam was comprehensive and thorough. Dr. Russo listened to what my primary hearing concerns were and why I felt I needed an exam. Based on my test results, she determined that I needed to speak to an ENT doctor before being fitted for hearing aids. She gave me confidence in her abilities, and she was easy to talk to about my issues. I strongly recommend Mid Island Audiology at Mill Neck.”
“The facilities and personnel are bright and welcoming. The hearing professionals are very knowledgeable and patient. They explain the evaluation process and make it a very pleasant experience. I needed a follow up appointment unexpectedly and it was arranged without delay. I would recommend making an appointment with MidIsland Audiology if you have hearing issues. I am confident you will be happy after you do. ”
“The appointments are a pleasure. No rush, no pressure and excellent individual attention. Dr. Russo and Mike are very professional. I highly recommend!”
“I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Andrea Russo in the Mill Neck office recently to have my ears checked for possible hearing loss. She was welcoming and made me feel comfortable, explained each part of the testing procedure clearly, then shared the results by using a chart to explain everything simply and allowed time for me to ask questions. She explained the next steps and options, and I left feeling I had a good plan in place. I have avoided doing this for some time, but after working with Dr. Russo, I feel comfortable pursuing whatever may be ahead.”
“I met with Dr. Andrea Russo and she was great. I needed an evaluation of my hearing and to see if hearing aids would help with my hearing loss. She spent a long time with me and explained everything to me as we went along. She gave me hearing aids to try out for 2 weeks to see if they help me. So far it’s been only 4 hours but what a difference already. My big test will be in a noisy setting. We will see. I am hopeful.”
