“Disclaimer: I am not a relative nor a personal friend of Dr. Kupfer. If I sound biased it is because I am so impressed with her. Dr. Kupfer takes her profession very seriously. She arranges her appointments to leave lots of time with each patient. She does extensive diagnostic tests to identify the problem. She explains what the issues are, what is causing them, and what the solutions might be. She doesn't sell you a product and send you on your way. She suggests a product and continues to see you over and over again until you are either comfortable with the product or it needs to be replaced by a different one. She explains everything in detail including how to care for your hearing aids, how to clean them, how to charge them, and makes herself available for any problems in the future. She works to find what hearing aid is affordable for you and does not charge you each time you go. I could go on and on but honestly, she is so competent and so delightful to work with. I was exceedingly opposed to dealing with my hearing loss, but she made the process not only much easier than I had expected but actually pleasant. Thank you so much, Dr. Kupfer.”

“A few years ago I noticed that my hearing, which was always bad, was getting worse. I had worn hearing aids all my life but to tell the truth, they did not do all that much to help, especially in noisy conditions. I had gotten to the point of near-total isolation due to not being able to hear well in many environments. I was referred to Hadassah Kupfer because I had long believed I had a reverse slope hearing loss, something my previous audiologists seemed to know nothing about. Hadassah specializes in this type of loss. After only one visit, she confirmed that I did have a reverse slope loss and programmed my hearing aids accordingly. The difference was amazing. She said that my type of loss is often programmed incorrectly, and she was certainly right about that! When I walked out of her office, I could hear much better in situations where before I could not hear much of any given conversation at all. I actually had a nice conversation on the three hour drive home with my son, whereas before that appointment any and all conversation was an exercise in frustration. Some time later I went to her for new aids which she programmed. Those aids had some mechanical issues and she made sure that the company replaced them. Then, a few weeks ago, when it appeared that we needed to fine tune the replacement aids, Hadassah went out of her way to find a way to do this remotely because I was not travelling much due to Covid. She called the hearing aid company and tracked down a way to program my aids using my Android smart phone, which had previously been unable to receive the signals. I am constantly amazed by how much effort she puts in, how much she cares, and how good she is at what she does. I will always be grateful that I met her and that I now have an audiologist who truly understands my hearing loss and knows what to do to program my hearing aids so that they actually help. ”

“I've been wearing hearing aids for close to 25 years. I've gone to various audiologists during that time and Dr. Kupfer was the only one who told me that my hearing loss in my right ear was atypical and that hearing aids could easily be programmed wrong.
