“This doctor's office has some shady billing practices -- duping both insurance and patients into paying more money than they should be. For example, I've watched doctors at both my child's pediatrician's office and urgent care remove pieces of ear wax inside my child's ear to better inspect it for an ear infection. Never once have they charged this as a "procedure." A doctor did the same for me at this practice to better look inside my ear and billed by insurance for the "procedure" and now I am paying half. Additionally, when you look up what constitutes a "impacted cerumen removal" procedure, it's much more extensive than the quick piece removed from my ear. I'm surprised that this office continues to get away with this. I would highly suggest against using this practice and if you do, be wary of what they perform while you're in their office because you're likely going to have heavy bills to follow.”
