I was born in Lubbock, Texas and part of a family of four generations that farmed in this area. My father, an entomologist, began working for agricultural chemical companies when I was five and we moved several times. I grew up in Texas, Mississippi, Connecticut, North Carolina, and finally back to Lubbock when I was sixteen. Although moving was difficult, I gained a perspective about our country and people that I would not trade for anything. Even today, I try to have an open attitude and an understanding of the process that an individual must go through in order to accept change. My mom was a speech pathologist and practiced at Methodist Hospital and in private practice. She gave me a lot of great advice in working with people who have health issues and has always supported me in working with hearing health.
Choosing the best technology for each individual’s hearing loss, at a reasonable price is my priority. I spend time with each person and help them to understand their hearing loss, the best hearing aid for them, the proper use and cleaning of their hearing aids, and the importance of being able to hear more clearly and comfortably. The true value of hearing aids is only achieved by working closely with a professional who cares about you and what you are experiencing. It has been rewarding to help people to hear again and satisfying to see the benefits to those struggling to hear. As a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist practicing since 1986, I am dedicated to helping people to hear and understand using the best technology at the best price.
Nelda is our office coordinator, and she has had an interesting career. She graduated from high school in Edcouch, Texas and attended Texas Tech for two years when family obligations moved her into the work world. She worked as a Deputy Clerk in the Lubbock Courthouse for several years and as a Nurses Aid for a couple of years. She also worked for a large commercial real estate developer as an executive secretary. But it is our blessing that Nelda came to King Hearing Center in 2003 and put her organizational and people skills to work. Nelda was the oldest of five kids and helped her mother raise the family after her father passed away. She is patient and compassionate and helps to care for each patient as they adjust to using hearing aids. (Nelda also speaks Spanish fluently.)
Wesley is a hearing aid fitter and dispenser for King Hearing Center. He came to Lubbock in 2012, earning a degree in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2016. Taking an interest in hearing health Wesley joined the team in 2018 to help guide and raise awareness for those who experience hearing loss. He continues to work as a dispenser and a nurse splitting time between the office and the hospital. He is currently enrolled at University of
Texas at Arlington earning a Masters of Science in Nursing degree in the Nurse Practitioner program.
With hearing loss being associated with many diagnoses such as depression, isolation, dementia, and Alzheimer's, Wesley understands that hearing health plays a vital role in empowering the patient and giving back autonomy to allow the patient the quality of life we all want. Through amplification, noise filtering, and directionality, hearing devices help the patient get back to hearing family, friends, music and the other sounds this world offers.

“Thank you for the hearing aid repair. I could not be happier with your service.”
“What else can I say, everyone has already said what is so true. A place you can call home, and friends you call family. I appreciate the time Randall takes for me and I would recommend him in a heartbeat. My last set of hearing aids are wonderful, I heard things I hadn't heard in such a long time. I have a friend in Sunday School that has a low voice, when he said the closing prayer I actually heard him and just about bawled. King Hearing Center is the best!!”
“Mr. King and the staff goes beyond just the normal routine of providing service. I got my first pair of hearing aids from this facility that made a difference in my hearing. I had tried several other brands in the past. None of the hearing aids would. I went to the King Hearing service center over 6 years ago. They recommended the brand that I got and that was the first time I heard birds chirping in many years. I would and have highly recommend them because they will get you the best hearing aids that suit you.”

You will be treated with the best respect of any cause you have may have. I have been a client for 5 plus years. I would recommend King Hearing to anyone. ”
“Am totally new to the hearing aid world. I was terrified about getting hearing aids but when I walked into King Hearing Center it didn't take me long to be at home with them. The explanations given to me I knew the logic behind the care was real, sincere, and the truth was being given to me. Randall was so patient and searched for the best fit to my special needs of hearing and is so honest to do the very best for you in narrowing down hearing aid that best fits you. He is so calm and patient and when I asked which one is the best one for me and why...he explained. I said ok and he is a honorable gentleman that knows what is best for you. I could not wait to get my hearing aids. I have never like that before in my life. Sounds I have never before. This is like being at home with this staff and Randall and they are servants of hearts for taking care of you. Amazing hands of grace they ARE...you are in good hands...the best hands that helps you to hear the wonders of this world.”
