“I was a little nervous about getting hearing aids and saw it as a major life adjustment. My experience, however, has been very positive. The transition was very smooth, and the devices turned out to be very comfortable and not the least bit obtrusive. The training concerning the use and maintenance was very clear and it is very easy to do. With the scheduled follow ups, I feel that the staff takes great care to make sure everything is going smoothly and that I have whatever I need for a continued good experience.”
“I have been wearing my hearing aids for over a year now. When I drove away from the office I turned on the blinker in my car. I had not heard them for years and thought I had an engine rattle! When I got to work and brewed a cup of coffee in our Keurig, I thought the thing was going to blow up. I hadn't heard it clearly before. When I took a walk and heard the leaves rustle in the wind, I felt like weeping. My follow-ups have been wonderful and helpful. My experience here has been amazing. I lost "hearing" in the right hearing aid, and it was repaired while I waited on my lunch hour within 10 minutes! I just can't say enough good for my experience with the entire staff, and Jennifer.....YOU ROCK!!! ”
“My experience with PHS has been wonderful. Jennifer has been so very helpful and requires patients to return several times to make sure they are satisfied and their hearing aids are working properly. I honestly feel this is a much more thorough experience than friends I have that receive their hearing aids from stores that are not affiliated with a Otorhinolaryngology Physician. I am very happy with my hearing aids and highly recommend Dr. Wikholm and Jennifer to all that are hearing impaired.”
Hearing impairment can limit social interaction with family and friends and is the leading communication problem experienced by older adults. Hearing loss means everyday activities become difficult. Often, patients are unaware of the causes and treatment of hearing loss or the degree of their impairment and may assume nothing can be done to help them. Children and young adults may also experience hearing issues that adversely affect their ability to learn and communicate. We offer audiological testing and assessment services to our patients. The improvement of hearing aid technology in the past few years has made it possible for many people with hearing loss to be helped. Our licensed audiologist uses state‐of‐the‐art diagnostic tests and treatment options to help patients of all ages.
