Board-certified in otolaryngology and neurotology, Dr. Shohet collaborated for several years with the internationally renowned neurotologists Dr. William F. House and Dr. Michael E. Glascock, III. Dr. Shohet implanted the first implantable middle ear hearing device in Orange County, California, and continues to offer new treatments for hearing disorders and related problems. He is actively involved in clinical trials.
He previously served as Chairman of the Otolaryngology Department at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach and is currently a board member and co-founder of HearAid Foundation.

“I went to the Seal Beach office and it is very poorly managed! I waited a week for my appointment and when I get there the office manager looked at my medical card and said it was unacceptable because it was a covered california insurance policy. I gave all the information about my policy the day I made the appointment which was one week earlier. No one called to tell me that my policy was no good and to keep me from driving a long way to get there. Also their office is listed in my provider directory! They did call me to remind me to be there for my appointment. Oddly enough, after being turned, away I realized when I got home and calmed down that I have medicare not obamacare! It is a shame that the a level of competence was missing and I still have my ear ache and I have to wait two more weeks to see another doctor..”
