Sarah Hamman

Dr. Sarah Hamman received her doctorate degree in audiology from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, where she gained a unique experience growing as an audiologist and learning from the perspective of the Deaf community using American Sign Language. She completed an intensive pediatric audiology residency at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In addition to the pediatric and Deaf populations, she loves providing comprehensive care to her adult patients. She was raised in sunny Arizona but is excited to now live in Tallahassee with her husband, a professor at Florida State University, and their baby Lucy.

John Koonz

Marie Flores

Daughter of Barbara Stanley, who served hearing impaired children and adults in Leon County for over 30 years, there was no way that Marie could stay away from this dedicated profession. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and raised in Alabama, Marie has worked in every conceivable position available in a hearing aid dispensing office. She began as a receptionist/bookkeeper in 1980, quickly met the qualifications required to become a Hearing Instrument Specialist in 1981, and took the profession a step further by learning to actually manufacturer hearing devices and began running the laboratory full-time in 1991. While classifying herself as a “Lab Technician,” co-workers understand that her job description and skills far exceed this title. Marie personally manufactures sophisticated hearing devices, earmolds, noiseplugs, and swimplugs, and she can usually repair any hearing device regardless of make or model. Married to Disability Specialist and Preacher Henry Flores, Marie loves camping, and is a voracious reader.

Michelle Whiddon

Born in Tallahassee, Michelle and her family moved to Sanford, Florida in 1977. where she lived until her return to the Capital City in 1994 after high school graduation. Michelle earned her Associates’ in Science in Computer Programming at Kaiser College in 1997. Michelle primarily worked for the State of Florida before moving in Indianapolis, Indiana for a brief stint. She has since moved back to Tallahassee to live permanently. Michelle is a huge fan of Florida State University, loves reading, Formula 1 racing and spending time with her family and friends. She has found family and respect from her co-workers at Hearing and Balance Associates and Tallahassee Hearing Center. According to Dr. Koonz, Michelle has unlimited potential to grow outside of her current responsibilities and become an even more intrical part of the clinical staff.
