With her knowledge of the latest hearing aid technology, years of clinical experience, and dedication to continuing education,
Linda A. Oliver, Au.D. is uniquely qualified to identify and treat hearing loss. She provides individualized hearing solutions with gentle expertise. Dr. Oliver has been active with the San Diego hearing impaired community since 1981 including experience with San Diego City Schools, Children’s Hospital, Otoneurology offices, skilled nursing facilities, and private practice. She enjoys participating in benevolent activities to further communication abilities of those in need. In 1980 she helped build a school for the Deaf on the island of Haiti. 20 years later she returned and helped establish a sustainable medical clinic after the earthquake hit the island. She has participated for several years with “Project: 1000 smiles” providing hearing tests, and donated hearing aids to hearing impaired children in Ensenada, Mexico.
Christoffer R. Berntsen, Au.D. is a board certified Audiologist. He earned his clinical Doctorate in Audiology at the University of Louisville in May of 2012, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2008. Dr. Berntsen completed his residency at the San Diego VAMC, and rotations with Kosair Children’s Hospital and University Audiology Associates clinics gaining a strong background in diagnostic audiology, tinnitus management, hearing aids, and hearing conservation. Dr. Berntsen has strong interests in hearing conservation, hearing aid technology, aural rehabilitation, counseling, and providing hearing healthcare with a personal touch. He also enjoys serving with projects such as the Red Bird Mission and “Project: 1000 Smiles” where he provides hearing tests and hearing aids to children and adults in need. He is currently a Fellow with the American Academy of Audiology and Academy of Doctors of Audiology.
Jim Oliver, Chief Operations Officer joined Oliver Audiology and Hearing Aid Services in 1996. Jim and Linda were married in 1982, and have two children Blake and Natalie. Jim enjoys gardening, outdoor life, soccer and is a fantastic cook!
