Welcome to our site
In 1978, CHAP was established by a group of audiologists as a way to match hundreds of refurbished hearing aids to hundreds of individuals who could not afford to purchase new hearing aids. CHAP utilizes both new and used hearing aids for its program and also collects non-operating hearing aids for repair credit from hearing aid manufacturers.
CHAP receives over $5000 each year in repair credit from donated hearing aids collected in the community. CHAP works in collaboration with over 80 hearing healthcare providers across the state to provide over 400 hearing aids to eligible applicants each year. Each professional agrees to provide a hearing aid evaluation, the fitting of selected hearing aid and one follow up visit to each client they fit through CHAP. Repairs to hearing aids provided through the Community Hearing Aid Program are paid for by CHAP for the life of the hearing aid. CHAP provides services to all of Maricopa County as well as all other counties in Arizona.
