Dr. Ram Nileshwar has been an audiologist in the Lake Charles area for more than four decades. He has been with The Hearing Center since its inception in 1987. He received his bachelor’s degree in audiology and speech therapy from the University of Bombay, his master’s degree in audiology from Western Michigan University and his Doctor of Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences at A.T. Still University. Dr. Nileshwar is board certified in audiology by the American Board of Audiology.
Dr. Nileshwar holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He specializes in hearing re-habilitation, which includes the fitting of conventional and advanced digital hearing devices. He has expertise in diagnostic audiology and has received specialized training in the evaluation and management of tinnitus.
Dr. Nileshwar works closely with ear, nose and throat physicians along with other specialists and professionals from the medical community in southwest Louisiana. Dr. Nileshwar is past president of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Academy of Audiology.
