A message from Central Texas Hearing Center about COVID-19:
Dr. Amanda Langham received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Lamar University in 2005, graduating Phi Kappa Phi with a 4.0 GPA. In 2010 she completed her doctorate in Audiology at the University of Texas at Austin. While there, she received the Sertoma outstanding graduate student in Audiology award. Dr. Langham completed her internship at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas and worked as a staff audiologist at a local ENT before opening Central Texas Hearing Center in Austin in 2013.
Dr. Langham is driven by the philosophy that effective communication is key to a fulfilled life. She is a passionate advocate for hearing health and its impact on quality of life. Dr. Langham’s areas of interest include hearing aids, tinnitus, and delivering a customized hearing solution for every patient. She also serves as an audiology supervisor for the University of Texas’ Audiology program, mentoring the next generation of audiologists. Dr. Langham is licensed in the State of Texas and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). In her free time, she enjoys experiencing Austin greenbelts and trails with her husband and four-year-old twins.
Dr. Levi Young received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Speech and Hearing Science in 2015, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. In 2018 he completed his doctorate in Audiology at Indiana University, where he received the Hipskind Outstanding Student award. Dr. Young completed his residency in two private practices in Arizona before relocating to Austin to join the Central Texas Hearing Center team.
Dr. Young uses his bright and creative mind to find personalized solutions for every hearing problem. His other areas of focus include tinnitus management, difficult fitting solutions, and cerumen management. He is licensed in the State of Texas, holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). When he is away from the office, Dr. Young enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his wife.
