Hearing Instrument Specialist
Jessica Pittman joined the Acadian Hearing team in 2015 and while working in the front office, she was able to train with the audiologists and earn her license as a hearing aid specialist in Louisiana.
Jessica wears many hats at Acadian Hearing. In addition to working on hearing aids, she is certified by CAOHC to perform hearing testing for local industries. She is also our insurance and billing specialist and will be happy to assist you with any questions. Jessica lives in Lake Charles with her husband Jared where she enjoys traveling, sewing, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Bridget Garrido has been a part of the Acadian Hearing & Speech Services team since 1994. Dr. Garrido received her doctorate of audiology from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in communication disorders from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, and an undergraduate degree from LSU Baton Rouge. Dr. Garrido is certified nationally from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and holds Louisiana state licensure. Dr. Garrido finds the field of audiology both challenging and rewarding on a daily basis.
Outside of work, Bridget enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends, husband, and two children.
Dr. Juliana Carriere-Marcantel joined the Acadian Hearing team in 2017. She received a bachelor’s degree from Lamar University and graduated with her doctorate in audiology from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2014. She holds an Audiology License in Louisiana as well as Texas.
Dr. Marcantel enjoys all aspects of audiology and finds helping patients hear better to be very rewarding.
She currently resides in Lake Charles with her husband Matt and dog Brees. Outside of work, she likes to spend time with friends and family.
Dr. Heidi J. Sorrells obtained her doctorate degree from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and she holds a Louisiana and a Texas Audiology License. Dr. Sorrells enjoys all aspects of working in a private practice audiology clinic but especially loves the challenges of vestibular (balance) assessment and rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Dr. Sorrells is especially fond of spending time traveling with her husband, spending time with friends and family, hiking, biking, and reading.
