A message from Lowe Audiology about COVID-19:
Dr. Burkle studied Music Engineering and Physics at Ball State University. He started his post college career within the music industry by providing consultation in recording studios in design and acoustics. After discovering Audiology, and his passion for hearing instrument technology, he attended graduate school at Indiana University. After completing his studies, he spent five years providing diagnostic Audiology, and hearing instrument services, within an ear, nose, and throat medical practice in Somerset, Kentucky before becoming a regional training Audiologist for Siemens Hearing Instruments. While at Siemens, Dr. Burkle was recognized in the Siemens ‘Circle of Excellence’ three years in a row. Although he enjoyed becoming an expert in hearing instrument technology on the device side of the industry, he was eager to return to patient care. He is committed to helping the hearing impaired improve their communication ability, as well as their quality of life.
Thomas Z. Burkle holds a Doctorate in Audiology from Indiana University, as well as a Bachelor of Music from Ball State University.
Dr. Ciara Horgan received her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from Ball State University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association. Her interests in audiology include comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments, tinnitus counseling, and hearing aid selection, fitting and follow-up. During her graduate work she gained experience working with both children and adults at the Ball State University Audiology Clinic and out in the field in private practices, the VA, and Ear, Nose, and Throat clinics. Ciara grew up in Fort Wayne and is excited to be back in her hometown and serving the community with their hearing needs.
