Ronnie became a provider of audiology after a successful public service career in law enforcement where he specialized in Juvenile Investigations, including protecting children against child abuse. After retiring from the Greensboro Police Dept., Ronnie taught High School Juniors and Seniors in a co-op college career program with G.T.C.C. for several years and taught adults in their NC Basic Law Enforcement Program, Juvenile Law, and Procedures. Ronnie also was hired back at Greensboro Police part-time to do Juvenile Investigations. When the opportunity arose, Ronnie accepted a position running two Children Advocacy Centers in Guilford County.
The experience Ronnie achieved lead him to become a Hearing Instrument Specialist. His Dad was a patient at our Greensboro Office and learned from Ryan Strickland, (the previous owner), that he was looking for someone to train and mentor as an apprentice. Interest grew and based upon Ronnie's life experiences, he was hired.
In his previous career, Ronnie received the National Red Cross Award of merit for performing CPR saving a life. He is a former recipient of the American Legion NC Police Officer of the Year Award. Ronnie has a Bachelor of Administrative Science Degree, a member of the International Hearing Society, and awarded their certificate for successfully completing The Distance Learning for Professionals in Health Sciences Course. Ronnie is board certified in NC as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.
Ronnie is a native of Greensboro, NC. He is married to his wife of 43 years, Nancy, has two sons and four grandchildren. His past interests include working in Cub and Boy Scout Programs as a Scout Master, He also coached Little League Baseball for 7 years, and was a statistician for his son's youth basketball team.
All his life, Ronnie has enjoyed music, and often can be seen playing the cello and mandolin at 1st Baptist Church in Gibsonville, NC where he also serves as a deacon, trustee, and Assistant Sunday School Teacher. Ronnie also enjoys gardening at his home.
Ronnie takes great pride and passion in helping his patients achieve better hearing, understanding with less effort thus allowing them to get the most out of life.
