Dr. McManus has always had an eagerness to help people. She truly found her calling when she was able to help improve her mother’s quality of life through the use of hearing aids. She thrives on being able to guide her patients through their hearing journey. Dr. McManus gained vital insight into the hearing healthcare world including tinnitus and tinnitus management while at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She continued to refine her knowledge of the newest technology that hearing aids have to offer while at Watertown Audiology in Watertown, NY. She is delighted to bring her passion and experiences to the New Bern area. Dr. McManus and her husband, an Air Force Veteran, and their two dogs are excited to join the team and become New Bern residents.

Her brother was born with moderate to profound hearing loss and wore hearing aids until he received a cochlear implant at the age of 28. She truly understands the importance of an individualized approach to each patient’s particular hearing situation and has a tenderness behind her strength as she helps patients and their families develop new and more effective ways of communicating. She also has an intense commitment to learning about the most cutting edge technological opportunities that are emerging for those with hearing impairment and is determined to remain on the forefront of these advancements for the betterment of her patients, and the patients of all of our locations.
