Jake has worked in the hearing business since 2003 and is an expert at identifying issues and adjusting hearing instruments so patients can improve their hearing and quality of life. Jake received his B.S. degree from Westminster College and is a certified hearing instrument specialist. Jake and his wife, Molly LeRoy, are owners of The House of Hearing.

Molly began working in the hearing instrument industry in 1998 while attending the University of Utah. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Utah in 2009. Having worked in the hearing instrument business for more than 14 years, Molly has undergone intense training and coursework to fully understand all aspects of hearing loss, testing and hearing aid technology. Molly’s dedication and commitment to helping people hear better is shown through the passionate care she provides to each patient every day.

“News of my hearing loss in my right ear came early in the 1965 when I had to take a hearing test before I graduated in the Elementary Education School in order to get my teaching certificate, but the only problem I had was talking on the phone with my right ear, so I didn't do anything about it and was able to graduate anyway. Then we took a job in Buenos Aires. After returning home I had to take another hearing test to get my teaching certificate. My hearing loss was a little bit more, so I went to several audiologists, and ordered some hearing aids from a catalog--until I had 4 sets of hearing aids and none of them seemed to work for me. I saw an ad for hearing aids from "The House of Hearing," so since it was a free test, I thought, "well what's the hurt?" and I went. It was a great experience with Liz Hankins. She was knowledgeable and so friendly, and always happy with us. She has kept us up with all the new ways to improve our hearing, and I would certainly recommend her and her whole team at House of Hearing any time to anybody. ”

“I have never known a day of good hearing my whole life long. I have had hearing aids before but wasn't satisfied with them at all. But as I have gotten older with my ability it is interfering with my ability to function and perform my duties at work, at home, pretty much every aspect of my life. My initial intent was to go in and see what options were available. I was fitted with a pair of hearing aids and for the first time in my life I was hearing things I have never heard before. I know they are expensive and my insurance won't even cover hearing aids because they are considered cosmetic. Thought, well, if hearing aids are cosmetic what are eye glasses? Still HOH made it possible for me to get a pair of hearing aids and now I am functioning so much better. Better than I thought I ever would. Thank You HOH. ”

“I started with the ENT Hearing Center seeking an answer to a vertigo problem and in the process was tested for the status of my hearing. Having been previously tested I learned that I was now at a point that I would benefit from hearing aids. Dr. Bryan Tagge, a personal friend, recommended Dr. Slattery as one of the very best at solving vertigo issues. He and his PA, Natalie were fantastic at solving my BPPV vertigo. It is hard to express how grateful I am to not be constantly dizzy. Then we started on the hearing issues. Fiona Hayes and Jeena Floreani worked with me for an extended period of time to get the perfect solution for my hearing challenges. I greatly appreciated the fact that I was able to demo a pair of aids for multiple weeks, testing them in various settings, to ensure I would be successful with the final result. Their patience with my many questions on both the day to day experience of wearing aids but also on the technical side of things was amazing. ”

“When I called in to make the appointment I ask the girl if these hearing aids advertised were for severe hearing loss, and was told "YES". When I got there and had the hearing test then I was told "NO" those wouldn't work for me. I have prayed about my hearing and felt this was an answer to my prayer. I was shown a page with other hearing aids on it, but they were more like the ones I've always had. I was disappointed!”
