Audiologist

As a fellow Utahn, Dr. Liz Hankins attended Utah State University where her undergraduate studies focused on communicative disorders and deaf education. Shortly after, she received her doctorate in audiology in 2012. She has a broad scope of experience, including diagnostic testing for pediatric and adult populations, vestibular assessments, auditory-verbal therapy, and cochlear implants.

As the director of audiology at House of Hearing, she oversees diagnostic and hearing aid clinics in the ENT offices and supervises the resident and doctoral students that work in the clinic. The job is difficult, but she is extremely gratified by the results the team can deliver and is always supporting her fellow teammates wherever she can.

“We have been working with Jenna. She is willing to take the time to make sure everything is done right and she meets my needs. She is very helpful, kind, and patient. She is also extremely knowledgeable about the cochlear implants and the programs that are offered. We are very happy we have been working with her and also Dr. Slattery. They are excellent. ”

“I lost one of my hearing aids during a trial period. Instead of charging me their cost, the owner instructed the employee to charge me the full price ($3500) for the one lost hearing aid even though that price is usually negotiated lower and it also includes aftercare such as cleanings, programming of device, frequent testing of hearing, refurbishing of devices, etc. Beware...anyone who seeks to benefit from someones misfortune is not someone I want to do business with. ”

Official Response from House of Hearing - Draper:
“Dear William, We appreciate your feedback, we welcome opportunity for improvement. I’m sorry that your hearing aid was lost and that you feel the contracted price for your hearing aid is unfair. An option you have is to purchase a replacement hearing aid since the hearing aid is under warranty. I apologize if this does not seem like the best option for you. If you’d like, please revisit any of our offices to discuss your options going forward. We wish you well. Sincerely, Stephanie Anderson, Manager ”

“My appointment went very well. We skipped the test and the sales pitch because I had done it before. We talked prices and what quality would work best for me. I appreciated that very much.”

“Sam was the one who helped me. He was so kind and professional and was patient with me. He knew what he was doing. When I am able to afford the Hearing Aids I plan on asking for Sam to help me.”
