“Great experience I would highly recommend. As a matter-of-fact I did too my daughter in law for her nosebleeds.”

“I went in on 05/05/25 (Friday) for a first time appointment due to substantial hearing loss and extreme vertigo. First I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Amy Zahn (Au.D., CCC-A.) She was very polite and walked me patiently through the process. She got very detailed information on what is going on and how I feel/hear currently. The hearing test went very smoothly. She was lovely but there really wasn’t much to this part of the visit. Physicians Assistant Laura Regan (PA-C), I loved her to pieces right away. She was very honest and sincere about wanting to get me better as soon as possible. She discussed with me the drawbacks of having had to wait 35ish days to get into a specialists office to address my hearing (and vertigo, but the hearing is a potential long term problem now.) Laura is hopeful about recovering at least a portion of my hearing and improving my overall quality of life. She told me what she believes the diagnosis could be, but the need to rule out a secondary more serious concern. She clearly outlined all the steps to move forward, which includes a MRI and a lot of steroids. I am a type 2 diabetic she clearly told me she REALLY wanted to run the steroids by my endocrinologist as it raises blood sugar through the roof. I reassured her I have multiple medications to lower the blood sugar and I’m at a great A1C currently. She still told me to check in with them Monday and wrote down notes to tell them I will be taking (injections + oral steroids.) I know, at every step of the way, what is going on and what to expect. She even made it a point to prioritize which imaging center to go to because the possibility of a tumor and then real time importance of having a proper diagnosis. I can’t give her enough positive feedback. I feel like I’m in great hands with Laura. Edit: I've been back twice since and I will be making a 3rd trip on Friday. I've been getting steroid injections into the the right ear, and I'm not gonna lie. It's not comfortable at all, its painful, depending on your pain tolerance. Mine is fairly high and I got the minimal tears on Monday. Tuesday hurt a bit more, but I think it's because the ear had little to no time to heal in the meantime. I'll be back on Friday for round 3. I honestly believe that the injections in addition to the oral prescription is the best way to go for my care and that PA Laura Regan really cares about my wellbeing. I think that if it gives me a fraction of a chance to hear normally, or closer than my severe damage, then it's worth the temporary pain. I'll also be visiting the Hurst office on Monday to get a hearing aid for my right (problematic) ear.”
